  1. Hey Roy - I head over there occasssionally - its the closest beach to Lincoln. It's wavey gravy but at mid tide there is a nice lagoon if its onshore. In a cross shore its flaaaaaaaattttt too, but otherwise you can get a bit of a nasty shore dump (it dont bother me, but the mrs hates it!) I tend to park in Princes Parade car park (you can pay by phone) at the South end of the car park, walk down the path to the beach and turn right for about 150m. I tend to be the only 1 down there (unless the wife is with me of course . It's brown and 'orrible, but it's closest beach and I've had some cracking sessions if you ignore the mud on the beach and the patches of clay - it aint Weston Supermud, but I could see why it might put people off. If you want space - you'll get plenty of it!
  2. Done a lot of driving about down there...ended up in some farmers field. He came over and asked me whjat I was doing. Apparently I wasnt the 1st (and suspect wont be the last) but as soon as you go South of Gibralter point, its mud for about 1/4 mile to the water....not nice....I'd rather take the drive to Hunny!
  3. Hey guys, Moved to the East coast at the end of last year and have been frustrated by the constant offshore winds that comes with living in the UK which has a SW prevailing direction. The 2 hour drive to Hunny every weekend is getting to be a bit of a drag.... Me and the wife went into Hull a couple of weeks ago over the Humber bridge and immediately the cogs started spinning. I know all the risks of currents etc when kiting in a river, but I am a competent kiter and was wondering if anyone ever kites in the Humber? Plus you could kite for an hour either side of high/low tide with minimal flood. If you go upstream from the bridge the river is really wide, about 3km and the land on the South side is low level, so the wind should be pretty clean. So any direction with a Southerly in it, you should be able to kite off the North shore. There are no signs to say you cant launch and there are several small beaches which would be safe to launch and land from. Just wondering if anyone else in the area has/does kite here? This is potentially a great spot for the East coast! Love to hear from anyone else who kites in the area. Cheers.
  4. Hey everyone, Up for sale my Blue Ozone Zephyr MkII complete. Had many awesome sessions on this baby, its great for getting on those marginal days (we have plenty of those here in the UK) and learning new tricks - it slows everything down, gives you plenty of hang-time and time to think about what you are or trying doing. The Pros: Had a session last weekend in 9 knts (I'm 87 kg - muscle not fat ) and have also been out when it had picked up to over 25 knts (it started at 12 knts and built), but was still able to hold her down. The Zephyr is the gentle giant and quintessential light wind kite. It's not a race kite so wont tear your arms off as soon as it gets above 15knts. The Cons: 1 small professional repair on the leading edge (done by the famous Jonnie Eisler). Everything included except a pump. Need the cash, so it has to go! £650 ONO delivered -
  5. Hey guys, Thanks for all the friendly advice. It looks as if I could be saving the pennies on fuel and spending a little more time nearer home ?? Blown away, Defo up for a session at Burnham and to be on the safe side, would like to get involved when the locals are there to give me the lowdown on area. Love to get involved in the SMS/alert etc, be great to meet up when the W is back. Jonesh, I have to give WSM a try too - sound if you are headed down, give me a shout? All we need now is this high pressure to bugger off so we can't back on the water? Thanks for all the friendly advice. Defo up for a session at
  6. Hi everyone, I regularly kitesurf South Wales and love it, and I grew up at The Ho! and have kited there too. But, although I love both areas/spots I am looking for somewhere a bit more local. I know WSM is ok at certain times (but the mud....). Are there anymore spots (Brean or Burham) which are any good for kitesurfing? Just want to see if there is anything which means I don't have to drive for 4 hours to get to the beach and back. All help and advice gratefully received Cheers
  7. Hey guys, For sale my Shinn Luigi 132 x 42 Freeride board. Used it about 5 times, but never got on with it (I think I maybe too fat or just not good enough) and have settled for a longer board (138 - seems to work really well for me). It's in excellent nick and will post. http://www.powerkiteshop.com/images/productimages/surf/shinnboarding/shinnluigicaramel.jpg Cheers for looking.

  10. Ben, Thanks for the offer. I will look into it. Rather it went on here than on eBay. Cheers. ;-)
  11. Ben, Happy to post if you pay the costs. Not going to be cheap though. Do you ever come over to the mainland? If so, we could arrange a drop off and pick up?
  12. Last chance saloon - tomorrow night ,the buggy goes on the eBay - £250 'Buy it Now'. The kite is already on. Cheers for looking - bump!
  13. Cheers Crob ;-)
  14. I have decided to sell my buggy and 4.7m Rage as they never come out of the garage. They have sat idle for 6 months so have to go. I will sell as a package for sensible offers in the region of £500, or will split depending upon offers for each item. If it doesn't go this week, I will send it to.....THE BAY!!!! I will deliver within a 100 radius of OX18 at cost 25p/mile based on a return journey, but would prefer the buyer to collect. OK - so here they are: The Buggy It's an original Flexi Freestyle Buggy, full stainless, unlike the new Scout. It has never been jumped (I'm not that good - only ever managed flat spins and 2 wheels) and everything is straight and true. The seat is in excellent condition with no tears or frays and all buckles are like new. It's fitted with a Dark Skies belly pan to protect the rear end when 'off-roading' which is dual skinned, and ready for you to personalize. It's also fitted with one of Uncle's 3 point harnesses with snap shackle for quick release. The buggy is like new in most respects, but I need to release it's capital for a new sea kite. The Kite The Rage is well.....it's a 4.7m RAGE in petrol. No rips tears, frays or repairs. It has new new lines and the kite is still crispy. It's fitted with pro-link handles. HAPPY DAYS!! Thanks for looking. http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii304/CJ6571/Buggy/DSC_5239.jpg http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii304/CJ6571/Buggy/DSC_5238.jpg http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii304/CJ6571/Buggy/DSC_5245.jpg http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii304/CJ6571/Buggy/DSC_5242.jpg http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii304/CJ6571/Buggy/DSC_5243.jpg http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii304/CJ6571/Buggy/DSC_5240.jpg
