  1. It's a case when the zip is in the front you dont get as much of an opening to get into the suit as you do with a back zip. So it can be a bit harder to pull the wetsuit on especially over your shoulders blades but as the other lads have said it seems that this has been addressed in the modern suits. Thanks for all the advice, i decided to get an animal assasin front zip suit. Looks the biz so looking forward to trying it out.
  2. Anyone using this type of wetsuit at the moment. Are the a real pain to get in and out of?. Have been thinking of changing from back zip for a while and the new gen of front zips seem to be much better. Is there much of a benifit in changing from the old reliable back zip. Also does the neck seal strech and start to let water in after a short while or do the generally last for a good while before this happens
  3. I've started to ride unhooked and have been learning how to unhook and hook back in. I currently can do hooked raileys and backrolls and now want to push on and do some unhooked tricks. Which unhooked trick should i start with. I was thinking to start off with a railey but would this be the best one to start off. Also any tips would be great.
  4. Does the 09 fuel relaunch as well as the 2010 version or is it a case of reverse launch only. They look very similar in design but is there a huge differnce in performance. I've used a 2010 and really liked it, the relaunch was a piece of piss and it was really nice to use so was wondering if they are the same
  5. I've been toying with the idea of buying a 14 meter raven 3 for ages now, super cheap price and i already fly 09 torches. Anyone got any advice on the 14
  6. Found one at a good price and have been looking for a kite for the lighter wind days. I've tried the comp in a 12 and really liked it but how does the normal hifi stack up and does the 15 meter have good low end, this is the most important thing as i need something that can get you going from arounf 15 knotts. I know 15 dont turn fast but as 15's go does it turn ok or is it terribly slow. Any info would be great
  7. You're having a laugh, your seriously saying that you just picked up a hanglider a jumped off a cliff with no lessons-- ME ARSE!!! That's a shaggin' classic mate.
  8. Anybody had a go of one. Thinking of getting one for the light wind days. Any insights would be great

  10. Any sign of the prima donna hitting ireland rich? I was trying to get a demo of one last year and talked to you guys but never managed it. The pd4 looks great
  11. Defo an 05, Grreat kite back then but not much depower at all by todays standards. A real machine of a kite
  12. Anyone know what other brand bar and lines wouls be compatable with an 06 tribal. It's impossible to find original ones.
  13. You should know you have both:)
  14. Agree with you http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4059/4457089558_d25f3681df.jpg
  15. Not sure if it's the same on the 2010 bar but on the 09 there's a small rubber plug that sits into the top of the qr ( just where the depower rope meets the qr). It was forever coming loose and rubbing up and down the depower rope when sheeting in and out. A couple of weeks ago i snipped it off and the wear seems to have reduced greatly. As far as i can see the rubber plug doesn't do anything important ( except wear out the depower line) Hope this helps
  16. Yeah defo, where you pull the trimmer the top of it is velcro sticky and there's a velcro sticky on the depower rope to attach it to. The 2010 bar's better but there's nothing wrong with the 09
  17. Nah, the 09 bar has a velcro sticky on the depower trimmer so you can lock it in place and it avoids the depower trimmer wrapping, quite a nice bar.
  18. I'd agree with the 08 being quick mate, Shaggin great kite !
  19. Whats the big mystery with the relaunch on the 09 vegas. All i do with mine is pull one of the rear lines and up it goes, that's it. Never had any problems with it. I'd have to disagree with saying the 09 vegas is a quick kite, my 9 turns about the same speed as my 12 meter torch. It has a huge thick leading edge which slows it down a bit and it's defo not quick for a c-ish type kite. I think the 2010 vegas has a slimmer leading edge. That said the 09 is a great kite and gives lovely long floaty jumps + rips upwind. It does ride more like a bow or sle than a c however . I dont think going from the 08 vegas to an evo would be a great idea as you may have some issues with turning speed if it's as slow as lucie has said.
  20. Thanks for writing such an indept review leb. I was just wondering about the jumping technique on the rpm. Do you send the kite behind you, like you would with a c kite or does it jump more like a hybrid/ bow , i.e just send it to the 12 o'clock position. Really like the look of those rpm's and the fact the relaunch is a piece of piss might get me to change from my torches too.
  21. I'm using pro limit pads and straps and find them to be the best i've used. Super squidqy for heavy landings and good grip so my feet dont slip out very much. Changed my stock flexi pads for these and gave the board a new lease of life
  22. No joke - but i'm sure you could order one in from the states. You'll just have to decide if you want fries with that!
