  1. Hi Norman, Ggreat to meet you - thanks for the tips and the extra detail re batton replacements. Cheers, Shane
  2. Hi Nigel, Sorry could not make it the other day to altona. am back at work and did not get an opportunity to get down there after. Think you may have PM's me - currently don't have access to PM's- trying to sort that out. Will folowup then. Thanks Nigel - I have previously flown LE infatable Naish Aero. I will take your comments onboard Cheers.
  3. Hi Norman, Thanks for the detailed response. I would be happy to come over to Altona for any help you might be able to give (don’t think I have access to PM you but if you PM me with your contact number will give you a call and we can discuss details). I think the “choking” that you mentioned is part of it. When I was launching the kite it didn’t just move the side of the window and then easily move up to the autozenith point. Noted that when I pulled the bar in once overhead it seemed to move backward a foot or so which I was not expecting. So could be my understanding which might be out. Look forward to catching up and sorting out Thanks, Shane
  4. Hi, I recently got a venom II kite. I am not getting the handling that I expected based on what I had researched - depower and flying. Hoping that there might be some guys in Melbourne I could check in with in regards to what might be my issue? St Kilda is my local beach - but happy to travel to meetup if necessary. (If you PM me your number happy to call) Thanks in advance, Shane
  5. One that I have seen others do and this happens all the time. Guy Kiting on St Kilda beach Melbourne. kite got out of control. guy would not realease the kite - got pulled into the wall leading to the road. With how easy it is to relaunch a kite these days hopefully people are being more cautious than optimistic regarding control of their kite and the situation.
  6. And another one - where my rear line broke and unded up with only front lines on an old kite back in the day - if you ever have a rear line break (well at least in the old kites) you will know how hard it is to hold and control the kite.
  7. Years ago had a leash come undone - kite took off down the beach. Had to superman jump to grab the bar. but was being pulled down the beach and could not get onto my feet to stop myself. Ended up letting the kite go - lucky no-one really about - was lucky enough to have someone grab it as went down the beach. Ended ok - but could have been terrible
  8. Hi, I have always had LEI's and am now moving to my first Peter Lynn. Unfortunately I don't have the cash for the latest synergy so am going to purchase a used Venom Can anyone please tell me if there is much difference between the Venom 1 and 2. Thanks
