  1. Selling this baby as I am moving OS soon, the kite has been well used for 1 season and has had 1 professional repair and a number of smaller ones to fix very small rips. Original lines and bridle which all work well, I have modified the bridle ends so that there is no need for the ELC's (metal joiners) and the safety system so you can use your leash instead of the original tie on system, I will add a few more pics in the next couple days so you can see all...bought this kite new for just under $2000 before the price rises in 2008. $800
  2. Thank you or should I say (Vielen Dank) Armin (is that u from Germany?) for such a quick reply, since I am new to RAM air kites but learning fast it is obviously to my advantage (vorteil Jeff ) to understand a lot better the dynamics at work with these type of kites and bridle so that I can experiment myself to organise the best setup for my personal preference.... I will trim (shorten) the depower leader line to bring front and rear lines into parity (same level) to try to increase stability and stop excessive backstall. I will also experiment with C and B line extension for a more aggressive/powerful feel to the kite but at the moment I am more interested in stabilty as we have had some seriously gusty SSE winds here on the Gold Coast lately 25-35knots or 28-38knots (previous weekend) and I have had a few instabilty issues in those winds which I guess maybe reasonable to expect but I did find line length problems that I have now corrected and I am hoping that my pulse 2 is once again bullet proof against the dreaded luff..... once again thanks Armin for your advise and quick reply.... 3. Hi fellow foilees, I have had my Pulse 2 10m for around 6months now (kitesurfing on water mainly waves with surfboard) and have had some mixed experiences but mostly good.... One thing that still perplexes me is the mixer test - I have performed this 3 times since buying new (6months ago) and still often get fustrated as I shorten or lengthen the pully line knots to TRY to achieve correct tension thru all lines. The other day I ended up puttting a knot in the Z bridle end (near the ELC) to make it the correct length compared to the others as no amount of fiddling with the 2 centre lines B and C would change the tension in Z..... and I have watched the youtube mixer test (dated psycho 3 or pulse 1) and read the info available thru http://www.flysufer.all.coms but my main question is front line length VS rear line length...at the moment I have my front lines setup a few cms approx 3-4cm longer than my rear - this is to achieve backstall on full bar pull (advise from Jeff R) BUT it just seems like I have to fly the kite with the bar so far away from me to get effecient flight and pull thru the turns (tested in lighter winds only). I have tuned to softest stearing as hard setting recently seemed to make the kite unstable but that was before the mixer test which only showed a discrepency in one Z line... What is the general concenses or practical application of front VS rear line length differences specifically for the Pulse 2 as I am sure each kite in the flysurfer range would probably have slightly different setup and bridle lengths. also my kite seems like it's not quite as powerful as it was when I 1st started using it - is there any setup that increases power like shortening the backlines like on an LEI ( I used to ride a 12m switch 3) the 3 knots diff was quite substantial to the amount of de/power it would generate. many thanks to all who contribute....
