  1. I think that's good advice AndrewJohn as I have had to calm "the flapping swan" when the odd moment arises when my daughter isn't quite sure what to do next. In the beginning she did tend to go to the back with armful of handles (and brake!!!) and at the time the use of a strop would've prevented this - sometimes it's the obvious that's missed lol! Can you use any strop on handles and are they interchangable as we use both Flexifoil handles and, at present, the Ozone ones too. Might change the Ozone ones over to the Flexifoil Prolink handles to see what they're like if I can get a bargain on those too. Any one have experience og the Prolinks - or would I be wasting my money?
  2. I'd just hold out and cruise the eBay. Having done your homework look for ones incorrectly advertised. I got a Scrub Pro Series 90cm, like new, with toolkit, grab handle, Scrub rachet bindings and full stainless steel kit for £51 inc. P&P! It was advertised as Flexiboard, with a very poor picture and by someone new to eBay, but I knew what I was looking at wasn't a Flexiboard - winner takes all. Patience is a virtue - good luck. I agree with the others too about Argos.
  3. Calm down, Calm down - lads it's not a competition as to which is best - handles vs Bar - it's getting like Harry Hill "Which is best? ONly one way to find out -FIGHT!!!" You're straying from the original question as to whether it's POSSIBLE and ACCEPTED to learn to board on handles? So let's be nice out there, as once Chritmas is here she's going to read this thread and she's only just 15. Thanks again though for all the advice and opinions.
  4. Thanks again everyone and keep that advice coming - it's all relevant and interesting opinions too.
  5. I'm very impressed and thank everyone who's offered advice - and soooo quick too. You've certainly put my mind at rest and thanks to Jon for ensuring I'm not going to forget the helmet too. I know exactly what you mean as my Blade 6.5 IV has caught me out a couple of times too, so helmets all round I think will be the next order of the day - quite like the Bell Faction helmets as we BMX too (I know I'm 50 but your body will only get old if the mind set gets old first). Thanks Dan for the video link too - certainly will act as inspiration - only had a quick look as at work now, but will watch with daughter tonight. Hey Afro, where do you board as we're Peak district too?
  6. Hello everyone, my daughter is new to landboarding but proficient with a powerkite. For christmas I've got her an Ozone Flow 4.0 and a Scrub Pro Series 90cm landboard. I've noticed from a lot of photos on the net everyone seems to be using control bars rather than handles - is it possible to landboard on handles? Obviously it would be a bit restrictive for freestyle but she's a long way off that ability. Does anyone have experience/advice they could offer regarding landboarding on handles? Cheers.
  7. Is it still for sale?
