  1. Ello, I've only recently noticed how much kiting has made me a weather bore. We have to be don't we? No point spending all this cash and then ignoring the forecasts. What websites do you use and trust most? The BBC, magic seaweed, wind guru and the Met Office etc? I even have the phone number for the Winterton Coast watch, it's amazing how the actual conditions can be totally different from those reported on the web. I even have a wind speed app on my iPhone. Am I the only one? Do you find yourself talking to your non-kiting friends about fronts, BFT, force speeds and off/on shore preferences and boring them into a coma? Fess up people! Lets talk weather...
  2. Dogs!: Was on the beach a few months ago and some lady's hound went nuts chasing my blade IV 6.5m. Wasn't a very windy day so I had to fight to keep it up, didn't want lassie to rip my kite to shreds! It went on for about 30mins, longest time I've ever kept the kite airborne. A crowed gathered as the owner shouted louder and louder at her dog. I just kept cool and focused on the kite, the woman was very apologetic. The dog was knackered and was frog marched back to her car, no more exercise necessary. Every kiter I've ever met takes great care when flying to control the kite sensibly, so they will only harm them selves! can't say the same for most dog owners. This plus numerous cases of dogs peeing on my coat, bike and other bits of gear lying around have lead me to belive we're a nation of dog lovers but really poor owners... 3. Ello, Depends on what you wanna spend, what weight your are and your experience. I've only been kiting for 8/9 months and recently bought a Blade IV 6.5m, it's awesome! I weigh 79kg (12.5st in old money), flying in anything between 12-20mph I can get some serious jumps. So far 12ft is the best, although I know I can go higher Lift off is smooth, hang time is long and the landing is easy, what more do you want? 4. Ello, Depends on how much you wanna spend, how heavy you are and your level of experience. I've only been kiting for 8months and recently got hold of a Blade IV 6.5m - it's awesome! I'm 79kg (12.5st old money) and need anything between 12-20mph. Best jump so far is a clean 12ft, although I know I can go higher Lift is clean, hang time is long and the landing is easy - what more do you want? Good flying!!!
