what do you mean by being to far upwind and i like the diagram.but in the picture where roughly am i standing.also on the diagram i seem to always be going close haul to keep the power up if i heel the board back i lose loads of power
i think i may be having problems with the angles. at 90 degrees the wind is behind me,move board around to about 40 degrees, kite to the zenith, step on board lower kite down to the left power up. when starting to move slight heelside pressure to go across wind does this sound about right.....
HIhttp://www.racekites.com/forum/smileys/smiley7.gif
Am sure most of you have been through this before but i just cannot get to grips with landboarding. I have had my board now for over two months and have been out on it whenever there is wind but its just not working. With the wind behind me and the board about 40 degrees i can move forward short distances putting alot of pressure on heelside to get going and leaning back. But thats where it all stops i just cannot get back to roughly where i started. Am using the same line to try and get back but there is just no pull. When i got all the gear i thought it would just be a case of getting kite up standing on the board and being pulled around to wherever i wanted to go. I think the kites i have are sufficient a beamer 3 4mtr and a pansh ace 6mtr..
Now where i go kiting there are a couple of buggy people and they just move around the field to the hearts content leaving me highly frustrated just going a few yards walking back going a few yards walking back its just not fun and is very annoying.
so my question is what am i doing wrong? i have seen the videos on you tube with people darting around and what looks like to be having a great time. Do i need to get a bigger kite maybe a depower(venom) are there any other websites with info other than atbkite.co.uk,is there any dvds i can watch or books about.
surely i cannot be the only one who is this **** at what seems to be a great sport.
should i just sell the board and go for the buggy or percivere.
a very unhappy chappy
