  1. I have a custom 2010 Focus Kites Skate - a hybrid between a single line kite and a glider. Flown once in zero wind. Here's what Focus kites say about the skate: "Have you ever admired the grace and elegance of Skates and Rays swimming through water? These elegant creatures appear to glide effortlessly though the water in a captivating motion. This beauty of motion inspired us to create one of the most unique kites you will fly, the Skate. Designed for low and no wind conditions, including indoors, this hybrid between a single line kite and a glider will give you endless pleasure as you watch it glide and fly. The Skate will add beauty, grace and elegance to every place you choose to fly it." This skate comes with sleeve and line and is the new 2010 version (with leading edges that can be broken down). Photo's coming soon. Price $115 delivered. cheers steve
  2. Ok, most of my kites have gone to fund my cycling craze. I am moving on my Rev's to fund a road bike (in addition to my Mountain bike). (This will leave me with 3 dual lines in total)..... I have : 1 x B Series Standard (purple) - with race rods frame Still Available $325 delivered. Comes with sleeves and weight kits and some spare parts. Race Rods are ultra light and ultra strong - the weight of 2 wrap frames with the strength of 3 wrap - this means that this kite will fly from around 3 mph to 15 mph without changing rods! SOLD 1 x 90lb x 70 ft lineset $65 SOLD This near new Standard Rev has been flown twice. Briskites has the B Series for $399 new, $90 for the 90lb lineset + delivery. Race Rods are approx $120 a set I think... I will include the handles with the B-Series (they normally come with handles but without linesets). If you are interested please drop me a line. cheers Steve (the kiteless)
  3. yep it is nice... And I just realised that I havent yet posted the pictures!!! got to do that this w/e Well, I won't be too upset keeping it if no one is interested cheers Steve
  4. Always happy to swap things around for a while as usual Kevin... although last time I did that you loaned me your Sea Devil...and well that was the end of that, I ended up selling off nearly all my dualies for a couple of Lam's Fearless!! (Oh, and a mountain bike....with 24 hour racing lights...and .......makes sports kiting look like a cheap sport)!!! cheers Steve
  5. Problem solved, the Extreme Kites website hates Safari running on Mac OSX 10.6 I could post the picture ok with Firefox. cheers Steve
  6. Hi Goz, yep , done all that. The picture uploads then it throws me back to the login screen........
  7. nice handles Kevin! Keeping in the Revolution theme, here is a picture of my Zen (now about 5 months old). Nice in the 0-3 mph wind range. cheers steve (If the forum would let me post a bloody picture, you'd be able to see it!)
  8. I've decided to sell my Lynx Feather. I love it but it has been sitting in my cupboard unflown for quite a while. It is a very nice light wind trickable kite, quite neutral in style and very trickable (a typical french trick kite). It flys and tricks in very low winds. I have even flown it in zero wind (with a bit of moving about!). I am the second owner, however the kite is in pristine condition and has been very well looked after. Photo of the kite below: Details of the kite on the l'Atelier web site is below photograph http://www.atelierkites.com/kites/lynx/feather/ This is a link to a GREAT kiting video of the Lynx Feather being flown in Paris http://www.atelierkites.com/videos/comm ... 004-50.avi These sell for $220 US plus shipping from the US new. This one is $145 delivered. Cheers Steve
  9. Hi Sinbad, Thanks for the offer - tell you what, it is going to cost around $15 to post (including box). So if you make it $65 delivered it's yours. (Note that it is sail only, no rods or line). cheers steve
  10. how true... what can I say (I only started flying Lam's kites because you lent me your very nice Sea Devil a while back Kevin - so I blame the Fearless set on you!! ) Actually I flew a JJF a year or so ago on loan and was impressed (quality and flight) but the Fearless got in the way of the purchase... I think I need a Level 1 in my bag...... now just need some $ !! cheers steve
  11. Agreed - but $410 for a level 1 team kite seems pretty high...... cheers steve
  12. Dave, I've had my eye on these for a while....what do you think about yours (from your single flight cheers steve
  13. Another shot of the 4D. Fades and backspins very easily, 540's, taz's etc even the odd comete with the right light touch.. Actually unlike the 3D, the 4D flys similar to a "proper" trickable stunt kite. It will always be a compromise, but unlike the 3D is worth flying (and it breaks down to fit on my Mountain Bike too!!) cheers Steve
  14. 2......a Fearless SUL and Fearless Vented....... oh and then there is my 2010 Gemini........ and my 3 x Rev's......... but down from the 25 or so I had!! cheers steve
  15. yep, looks like he has tried to make it like the 4D. In particular moving the standoffs closer together which would contribute to the trickability. The 3D in standard form though fades easily and is stable in a fade....but impossible to do other things like backspins with it...mainly axels, fades, cascades and pinwheels..it is quite old school. Interestingly the new 4D backspins easily and has more drive. I'm looking forward to getting some time with it this weekend to see how different it is to the 3D. (still has a 3D like flexible frame with very little mass. The 4D is rated from 0-15mph....I personally don't think I will be flying it above 5 mph for tricking. Once the winds get to this level I will be flying one of my full sized standards ....) cheers steve
  16. nice one! I have a yellow 4 D - yet to get it into the air though (we have been having strongish winds for the last few days). Maybe tomorrow... cheers Steve
  17. Dear all, For sale is a red Prism Quantum Pro that I had made for me in 2004 (signed by the builder). It has been flown a bit and is well loved and looked after and is undamaged. There is some slight wear on one of the leading edges, but it is not significant. It comes with a gold Prism sleeve and QPro weight kit. Price $195 delivered. Now $175 delivered. Final reduce price $160 delivered including weight and sleeve - if it doesn't sell I'm keeping it..... cheers steve
  18. Hi all, To further fund my increasing Mountain Bike habit :-) I am putting up for sale these two fabulous stunt kites. They are both custom, hand made (and very high quality) kites by Kevin Sanders (Kaos Designs) in South Australia and fly superbly. The Temptation (Standard) was made for me by Kevin and is identical to the one he flew in his promotional video below. It is also hand signed by Kevin. The Maelstrom is I recently got off Kevin and flys very much in the French style. Both come with Kite Sleeve's (the Maelstrom Kite Sleeve matches the kite covers). These are superb quality and great flying kites (there are a number of peple on the forum who will vouch for the Temptation in particuar). Prices: Temptation $185 delivered. Maelstrom $165 delivered. Both now SOLD. cheers steve
  19. thank God...I thought for a minute that I'd have to buy it......
  20. very nice Jared. Looking forward to a flight report! cheers steve
