  1. Welding ... Oh yes I remeber I used to do this about 17 years ago... plastic welding.. hot air gun direction sheild and a filler rod ... easy to do.. I was thinking of warming the plastic and shapping it for the front guard.. easy to do.. thanks for the tip there.. It has just remined me of a Plastic's company I used to buy stuff from years ago. And I need to go as they do the sign white boards I need anyway.. so I will buy some of that as well.. normally comes in HUGE sheets.. so if any one wants any from the big sheet perhaps we could all chip in.. will find the cost.. I have a vynal graphic's machine in the office so I can make up all kinds of designs..for stickers I will have a look on my image disc's for kite logo's :-)

    a question

I can't think bt I am thinking I am available this Saturday.. Look out for a Long Wheel base T5 VW Panel van in the car park.. I can just clear that barrier by 1/2" to get in...
  6. that's a shame.. Why would some one drop litter such a shame..
  7. I will go th Lords hill just list when you are going or PM me the normal times you go.. I am not too bothered about traveling too much as I have a large VW van so I can just chuck all my gear in the back and go.. I am an early bird so if I have to leave at 4 to get some where for 6 to do a days flying then so be it.. OK I will have to try and work out the maps of where all these places are.. ? It is a shame we have pebble beaches.. Hmmm can I design a buggy to ride pebbles.. hmmm... :-0

I also would like to meet up with other people who can show me a few things to make sure I am doing every thing right.. I am self taught and I do ride more on th side of caution. So far been doing ok with no mishaps as yet ( fingers crossed ) so I have been wizing up and down and turning fine and really enjoying it.. So time to ride some sand!!

    a question

thanks but I have some flexifoil ones I picked up at the kite shop in Southsea the other week I have not used them as yet but will do. Yes it has a roller on the bar it's a good set up looking at it.. The guy I got the buggy off who chucked this in with the deal said it's very good. And I think he is right I seam to have got the buggy and the bar for a nice price. So I will get some rope I have some rope on the real here in the W/S that is 5or 6mm and I know the breaking strain is HUGE ( I know in a rush I needed to help pull a car out the way and I only had this real with me.. on the car and on my van ... double it and it dragged this car that was in the way.. ) I might just use that. Plus I can brade it properly to the do the returns much the same way the kite lines are made. I used to be into sailing so I know my knots..

Quick question as any one a photo of the harness in use. I have a harness and I have never used it.. Reason is that I normaly have not probs holding the handles but of late it would be nice to let go and take a break. Also looking to have a go at a bit of free style so can has any one got a photo of the set up with the harness and bars I think I know what I have to do with it all but just want to see for sure.. I have trried to look at the photo's but just can't quite see..
  17. I'le join you next time I am out there.. What a place to buggy never thought of it.. I was too busy getting my day licence for kite surfing on the beach... having done off road where you are I never thought to buggy and the wind there is a constant blow ..... excellent

    which GPS?

These do look good, I just had a look on Ebay and £55 pops you one on your door mat.. So these are the cheapest way to find out how fast you are going in the buggy? I Only can't see what else I can use it for that all..
  19. Peter Lynn Impluse An entry level kite, but don't mistake this a just some starter kite. It's strong build quality and good lines are very evident once it's taken out of it's purpose made bag. Available in two sizes 2.0meter and 3.0meter. Red or Green are the colour options. Once out the bag, it's bar complete with single kite killer. It does feel quality, you know at least your money has gone in to making a kite that will drag you though those early learning days and the odd..... crash landing. As with any two line kite will need one volunter to lauch your new hobby. It quickly rises to the Zenith. Where you can with ease start to turn the kite from side to side to learn your own skills. For novices I found that they picked up the basic's very quickly. This kite alows you to normally be flying with some degree of confidence with in the hour. Once you have mastered the basic's the kite then keeps you on your toes the more you push it. Learning all over again time and time.. because as you start to understand the limits to this kite you will start to feel the pull once you get it lower down in the power area's. This is where I have to put my hand up as a fairly experienced flyer. I love to still get the impluse out the bag in any area I can esp in high winds. With some skill you can have this intro kite spinning and turning in the air time after time. Turning is very easy with the impulse, it's sharp and your soon feeling confident to explore those new skills and limits All in all the Impluse it a good all round kite, it will not bore you. It will grow with your own skills to even pull you on a land board. It's never going to lift you off the ground but some times as an experienced flyer it's a kite that reminds you of where you started in this kite hobby. But your skills then match what it can offer and it's just such fun. It's a kite that a basic flyer can handle and then a seasoned flyer can grab and show off before handing back to the newbie..it's certainly not a kite you will sell off once you buy larger kites, it's becomes part of your kite range. ( just try and find a secondhand Impluse ....you can't ) By : kite-uk
  20. mixed view on this buggy then...... I'm about to buy one but now I am not so sure.. I mean I own a van and a car so packing it up is not the main issue. Thanks for the heads up.. will have to think..
  21. Hi there this is great but do you have a pic of the final buggy. I am looking to make my own and make a few mods along the way.. I have access to full bending gear, Oxy and welding equipment. I also have some small shocks I want to use to soften the ride and also a industrail sewing machine to make the seat area.. I have three wheel barrow wheels for now and a load of bearings which I was about to chuck out but they are fine for this..( that was lucky I bought a kite then.............
