    cool vid, the wide angle shots really show how many kites there are and how much is going on. I wasn't there, and have never seen a skyline so full of kites. I will absolutely have to go next year, gives me time to practice and not be embarrasingly tame with my flying ( everyone has to start somewhere eh? ) I even get a kick out of going to my local site and seeing 10 to 15 kites!! It's cool for a noobie to see how a kite is flown to get constant traction. One of the kites in the wide shots demonstrates this perfectly. Its just a pity you weren't the editor of the vid that was broadcast in the post " I never new wallop could sound so dull " I'm sure his footage was pared down to the minimum, and that voice over.......get a different job please. They really seem to have murdered his footage, i feel for him.

    jeez, where did they find her?? i was more likely to watch a few minutes of open university when i was a kid than be sucked in by her commentary. Go back to doing voice overs on " how its made " or something. Still at least it got broadcast, and maybe helped the sport. But really, COME ON! its actually exciting and adrenaline packed, it's not akin to watching a couple of coats of non drip gloss dry!!!!!

    i'm not good enough to comment fella. but it looks very risky. do a parachute jump, it'll be better, that i can comment on. at least you have a reserve chute.

    Jeez, they certainly have got some air there. I saw a vid of someone getting a tow from a jetski with a big kitesurf kite. He had some serious height and then a line snapped. He came down hard into water and survived, much to the amazement of the doctor apparently. He was coughing up blood etc. Don't rekon you'd have much hope in this situation if something went wrong. I particularily like the first one when he's heading towards the electricity pylons and a road....nice. Still each to your own. Rather you than me.

    hi Afro. I'm still learning about kite makes and styles. I did spot someone with an impressive afro however. I'm guessing that was you. Next time i'll come over and say hi. I stupidly didn't make the connection. Was feeling a bit worse for wear, been fighting the flu for a week.

    as a relatively newbie to this whole thing it was great today to head up to blackheath in london and be greeted by the sight of a huge number of flyers. Even though i was with other people and didn't get a chance to chat to anyone, i really felt like there were loads of like minded people all around. If the winds up again tomorrow, i'll be out again. Anyone who sees a samba flexi rage 3.5 flying. Feel free to introduce yourself. Nick

    thought you might say that . Fair enough geez. i've just checked my bank account,........computer says no. My boss has failed to pay me for 2 weeks. I'll have to let it go to someone more deserving. Maybe i'll look at blade III's. thanks anyway. In the highly unlikely event that you still have it in a couple of weeks, the offer will prob still stand. Happy flying with your new kit.

    I'm skint after the rage, and i'd have to hide it for a while. the only way i could do it would be for 200, and i guess that's taking the **** a bit. Still nothing ventured, nothing gained...........

    Will someone please buy the 4.9 so i don't, its soooo tempting at that price and i've only just taken delivery of my rage 3.5, so the other half would go nutso if i got this too.
