  1. Is the performance and power of a foil 10m Pulse 2/Psycho 3 similar to a 10m lei?
  2. Thanks for the post GSter
  3. Anyone have any general opinions/feedback to give on the 10.5 metre ion2 including it`s wind range for a 75kilo surfer cheers.
  4. If you wear a kitesurf specific flotation vest with a waist harness there`s no problem re movement and they`re good for safety when learning. I usually wear mine but a lot of kiters don`t it`s just a personal preference thing.
  5. Peter go for the 12metre it will be perfect for you, the 9 metre will be a little underpowered for your weight unless the winds are very strong. I use my 12m Atom for all conditions from about 15-30mph winds and it works very well even near 30mph as it has so much depower and so is very controllable. ( I weigh 12 stone ). The Atom is an ideal beginner through to advanced intermediate kite, very user friendly , well made and can pop some huge floaty jumps all good fun. If the kite on offer is almost new then it is a pretty good price with the bar and lines.
  6. Cheers Jonno
  7. Hi I`m off to Devon/Cornwall for a few days next week, probably starting near Plymouth first then heading west. Any recommendations for kitesurf spots would be appreciated as I don`t have any local knowledge for this area-cheers.
  8. Hi you need to contact either Waveriders who are based in Hove, or Stormriders who are based in Shoreham 6 miles or so west of Brighton and Hove, good luck.
  9. Hi I can`t comment on the Tribal 2 as have never flown one, however I have had a 12 m Atom for a few months and I really rate this kite highly for my ability ( 2nd year kite surfing, and several years flying land kites ).It`s very easy to set up, has a simple and safe quick release system and so far has stood up to a bit of abuse and seems very well made. It`s very user friendly and has enabled me to take my kitesurfing to a better level over the winter months. The depower is excellent and the performance is great aswell, big floaty jumps etc. I`ve found it very good in the gusty and choppy south coast conditions we get down here. I think that you would be very happy with it for the freeride 15-30mph range that you wrote as this is pretty much similar to my requirements. There are 2 "bad" points that I have found. Firstly, the depower strap is too far away to reach comfortably, and secondly it can take a while to get it to re-launch from the water sometimes. However these are irritations more than anything and in summary a great kite and in my opinion I would definitely recommend it.

    7metre atom

Kiteingcolin can you give me your opinion of the 7m Atom so far please mate? Are you impressed with it, anything you don`t like etc. How do you find it performs in strong gusty conditions. Have you flown the Ion as a comparison? All and any feedback is appreciated. Cheers from Nick.

    7metre atom

I am considering buying a 7m atom-I just want a stable kite I can use and control in high winds, ie 30-50mph and basically make the most out of mental windy days rather than be overpowered like I currently am and ending up downwind. The alternative is to wait for the new ion to come out-so much choice its confusing! I know its early days for the Atom with regards reviews but any feedback would be appreciated. So far have read just the one review on this site( which was positive)-cheers.
