The insurance only covers 3rd party claims (i.e. damage/harm caused by you to other people and/or thier property, it's up 2 u if u want 2 hurt yourself, just don't involve any1 or anything else! You don't have to do dangerous things to get a thrill out of kiting...

If you join a club (like SWATK), you get 3rd party insurance included in your membership fee (as long as you state where and when you are flying before hand on their forum AND you have permission/are aloud to fly in that area). It also gives you access to some great sites around the country (depending on the club you join)...

Rest bay would probably have been better as it's longer than Trecco or Barry... I tried my 6m Sammi down there last weekend and it dragged me over 200 yrds on my a*se! It's ALWAYS windy down there, but I had 2 give it a go

Hey guys, leave em alone! I started off with sports kites... but got bored & dizzy just doin circles and figure of 8s! Now I get dragged down the beach in all manner of shapes and have to spend a week recovering! Hmm... perhaps I did the wrong thing?! WHO AM I KIDDING? THIS IS AWSOME! SOD THE SPORTS KITES

Nice 1, I tried out my 6.0 Sammi last sat in 15mph winds and it almost broke me! Good job I had the pads and lid on (would have been much worse without them)! Gettin a 3m Sammi next so I can learn properly before usin the beast again (unless the wind's about 5mph ). Take it easy all

I finally sent off my membership application form to the SWATK sec today, so i'll hopefully be all legit soon! I was just wondering if anyone living near Bristol can suggest some good places to static fly around here? I'm in Wotton-U-Edge just north, but willing to travel. I just want somewhere decent where I can be safe(er) when learning some new moves etc... I'm saving up for a 3/4m Sammi (which I'll hopefully get at the show this year), so I'm not desperate to get out yet (well I am, but my 6m is just 2 big 4 me at the mo)!
