  6. @Juan M. I weigh about the same as you and I think that you will find the 13 too small for 14 to 17 mph. I took 13 out in 25mph yesterday and it was amazing. If youre wind is not going to get over 17mph then definatley get the 16, I wouldnt want to go on a 16 in 25mph winds. a guy at my local spot yesterday was getting 25 foot jumps on a 16 in 25mph (not even fully powered up).
  7. 20 - 30 mph winds on the beach tonight. very nice. had a lot of fun and learnt some new sh*t. I now know that a venom 13 goes way bigger than a sabre 9.5 (cos i flew bith back to back). I love my VENOM. thanks to Freddy for some good advice and for making us all look bad with his 30 foot inverted crazyness.
  8. Check previous posts by me and others on jumping techniques for more details. I don't think the sabre technique is so different from the one needed on other kites, However I think the timing needs to be more acurate with the sabre. like i said i havent been out in higher winds yet but from what i seen of venom so far makes me think that there is more margin for error with it.
  9. I am youre weight and got about 12-15 foot jumps on my 9.5 in 20 mph winds. So on an 11.5 you should be up near 20 once you have nailed the technique. I swapped over to Venoms recently and although i havent flown it in 20mph yet i think it will have more lift and float than a sabre. (i took it out in 12mph gusty horrible wind and managed better jumps than my friend did on his 9.5 sabre, and he is 2 stone lighter). I would say though that going to a 16m venom2 would be a big step. I am told that the venom2 13m is the same as a phantom 15, both of these kites are probably close to an 11.5 sabre
  10. a 7m Bullet isnt even in the same league as an 8.5 Blade. if you took an 8.5 blade out in the same top end wind as you could with a 7m bullet you would almost certainly die, OR be so badly mangled...you would want to die. or just die of fright in mid air, or run out of oxygen by going up too high...OR...well you get the idea.
  11. The straps inside are (on the venom so i guess its the same for the phantom). Loose: for better upwind performance and more depower. Tight: higher bar pressure, faster turn rate, more power
  12. Its very silly but also very fun. I'll try the Venom 13 soon.
  13. the wind was about 30ish today, so my mate got out his 9.5 sabre and i held on to the back of his harness,Then as he hovered 4ft of the ground i used him to pull me along on a landboard. Try it. im thinking of harnessing myself to his harness next time. anyone else tried this?
