  1. Hi Soggy, Thanks for your interest. The lowest price I could offer is £150 inc p+p or £130 for collection (from Plymouth or nearby). Cheers, Damian.
  2. Any interest before I stick it up on Ebay? Cheers, Damian.
  3. Photos of the board are now up at: http://www.cypriasun.com/board/litewave.html Cheers, Damian.
  4. I've recently upgraded to a Nobile 555 so now have a spare board for sale. It is a Litewave 148 ( 148 * 39 ) and I've had it from new and used it for the past 2 years whilst learning. It was a great board to learn on and is nice and tough too. Here's some blurb on the 148: "Made with the proven Durasurf construction that is similar to a snowboard CAP construction. All of the boards feature concave hulls for better grip under power as well as make a very smooth comfortable ride." I've recently replaced the deck pads and foot straps to DaKine ones which makes it much more comfortable to ride and easier to get the board on. The Dakine straps are adjustable too and are these ones: http://secure.session1.com/index.php?p=product&manufacturers_id=&products_id=3859 Board is in good condition and has the usual scrapes on the bottom from premature beach landings but no big dents, cracks or repairs. I can supply pictures if interested. I'm looking for around £150 for the board. Cheers, Damian.
  5. Thanks for all the help. Ended up camping in Tywyn and had a couple of good sessions even though wind wasn't brilliant. Beaches were deserted - so different from the local beach where you can't move for people in summer. Not sure where the lagoon was though - I parked on the Aberdovey road and walked across the golf course to get to the beach. There was what looked like an estuary at the far end but it looked quite busy with jet skis and boats etc. Lots of huge dead jelly fish too !!!! Cheers, Damian.
  6. Hi, I'm heading up Mid/North Wales next week and looking for somewhere to kitesurf. Originally I was going to pitch up at Porthmadog but after doing a bit of research I'm not sure this is the best place. Would I be better off basing myself at Aberdyfi/Aberdovey, and if so are there any restrictions on the local beaches and which beach works best in what wind? Are there any good surfing beaches nearby (to keep the girlfriend happy)? Can anyone recommend a good campsite? Cheers, Damian.
  7. the thin stuff - It'll be easier to fit in the printer
  8. James, did you try Siblyback Lake in your search? Just that it appears Waterfront sports in Exmouth ( who do windsurfing and kite surfing courses ) run some stuff there. Link to lake here:- http://www.bristolnomads.org.uk/location_reports/west_country/siblyback.htm Looks ideal from the pictures. Cheers, Damian.
  9. Places I can think of:- Reactive Watersports @ Queen Anne's Battery. I only bought a bouyancy aid from them but they have other kite stuff too. http://www.reactivewatersports.co.uk/ There is Just Add Water in town which has a few bits and pieces but mainly traction kites. In Exmouth you have Edge Watersports. http://www.edgewatersports.com/ I bought my kite from Air Jam in Newquay. http://airjam.co.uk/ There is also Extreme Academy at Watergate Bay nr Newquay. http://www.extremeacademy.co.uk/ These are only places that I've been too and there may be others that I don't know about. Cheers. Damian.
  10. Yup, Friday was Ace. Ended up staying all afternoon until the tide got too high and the sea was full of surfers/boards/boats. Was the first time I'd played in the esturay too which was actually ideal for learning in. Can still only go in one direction but the other way is coming slowly. Didn't manage to get a pass for Saturday in the end. Probably won't be able to get out again until 15th so fingers crossed for good winds then. May be able to make the 5th Nov if I can disguise it as a family trip... Cheers. Damian.
  11. I may be up for that but only have a 15m LEI and winds looking a bit up and down for me (still learning). Had a couple of good sessions at Bigbury on Friday and Sunday. Sunday was quite busy (once the wind picked up) and I can only go one direction at the moment so worried about getting in the way of the better riders. Anyway, give me a shout if you go down (07890016157). Cheers, Damian.
  12. I have a similar problem in that I either bomb down wind very fast (and onto the beach:eek:) or put weight on the board and sink:confused:. Am I doing something fundamentally wrong or is it just a case of finding the balance between the two? Damian.
