  1. Thakns for the advice the problem is is that hwere i am you cant get any further away from the coast. Yes i am a sailor and under stand it fine thing is for the past cuople of days you need to blow on the kite and the sails and today hasent been any better
  2. Thanks guys i fly on the recreation field sometimes get a foot ball match on sundays but genrally its fairly clear. ive got a rad 6.0 and 3.0 the 3.0 is just abit to quick for the buggy especially is its windy so i tend to use the 6.0 usally i think the main problem is that there is trees on 2 sides of the field and the building on the other there is only about 2 good patches were wind can get in with out dieing. thanks again more advice is welcome
  3. Hi all long time no speak im having loads or trouble wit this buggying thing. i find that i cant get the thing to start once its moving its fine but other wise it wont go. i always seem to find that the kite over takes me to soon so by the time the buggys moving the kites on the edge of the window. is there something to do that slows the kite down before it gets to the edge of the window or has it got to be really windy thanks for any suggestions
  4. it must be more of a parachute than a kite to him
  5. flexi and such dont concentrate on develpinhg lines its just some to get them off the shelf more expenesivly
  6. the third ones forks loks like its made from scaffolding lol
  7. thats normally the way my conversations go it starts thats a big parachute then i tell them its a kite which turns to CAN HAVE A Go as your being dragged along the floor some people are so stupid ive lernt the hard way let a girl who i know have a go soon as it started pulling her she was screaming but never let go of the handles and crashed the 6.0 into a crowd of her own friends my excuse now is when it costs 150£ you dont let people have a go it works
  8. probabley because the kite brands have to concentrate on re search to kites not kite lines so theyre neglected reallly same with most things as for kite lines you could just get some really strong ones and i dont think itll be flying in 5mph ive got the 3.0 and the 6.0 radsails and the 6 struggles to go in that wind maybe 10mph sounds better
  9. my 8 year old brother likes using my rad 3 with 4 liner but he likes the little triboard 1.5 2 liner
  10. ok thanks guys
  11. Hi guys and girls hope you doin good just been wondering earlyer i was out with my harness and i was wondering if somebody could tell me the rough length of the connecting rope/string thanks
  12. You would probabley need about 100 of 10m kite surfing kites to match the weight of 1 sail ive almost been knocked over board by a sail and that was only on a dinghy but thats not really stupid my dad managed bizaly to get out in the river hoist the sale and realise that its upside down lol

    Why

They really must not like each other
  16. i havent done it was just to see if you could so you didnt have to mess about wtih the front forks
  17. How do you strap your self in to the buggy just out of intrest ??
  18. just out of intrest can you have the standard wheels on the front then have the big foots on the back to bear most of the weight or is it not possible
  19. well anyway we use tham on yachts and they do fine and we havent had any bent arms even the one that holds one of the biggest sails on the boat about 200 square feet and they still release with out problem i suppose it does depend on the shackle but i think with those figures nobody can say there crap
  20. Sorry Guys have to agree with KiteBoyza this block / quick release is a bad idea. The reason being it is not designed to release under load (which is when you need it to release if you are in the sh!t). what you need is a whichard quick release snap shackle which is designed specifically to be releasable under load (Do a search on the forum and you will find loads of info on what to get). Having said that as has been commented here unless you pull the damn thing soon enough no release system is quick enough. The number of times I have seen people (Including me) bounced all over the place before they even have time to think about the quick release you would not believe. Oh and im not providing months of experience more like 15 years Sorry to go against this bit but im a sailor and we use these blocks all over the boat and the whole idea is for them to reased underload if the boat is brouching (lieing right over in the water) and they work fine with loads that would if they held on to it would thrash them around like a rag doll
