  1. Hey Sammer, I was in much the same position as you , I had a bullet 2.5 which I could get lift on as I am a lightweight but it wont bring you gently to the floor rather dumping and crunching your knee joints. I tried a blade 3 4.9 in wind up to 10mph and found greater control as it is bigger it is quite stable and moves through the air creating pull and if you put the kite in the right area lots of lift. I managed it then tried a cheeky sweep to generate some lift it was then i was suprised to be about 5ft off the ground!!! I then was brounght back down to the ground quite gently. So go the blade they are a lot cheaper these days and will give you the kick you need! But take care
  2. Cheers Spooky, it would be great to try out some of these kites. The report isnt looking so good for this week but as soon as you see some good wind drop me a line as I can pretty much fly anytime ...students get great summer hols!
  3. Um these kites are pretty BIG im a little concerned i will get badly spanked going for a kite that size after all i have just mastered the bullet 2.5. I tried a blade 4.9 today now that was raw power but i realise that in strong winds i will be in the ****e.
  4. Town centre almost what did you have in mind? i am about 11 stone i can fly the bullet in most winds up to 15 + i have only boarded in light wind though but keen to move up a size
  5. thats a sweet set up it certainly shows cerchingness! though i hope you dont wear your little fisherman hat when your rolling it. how about some gold knee pads!!
  6. Ok team heres one to get your brains working. I have just mastered my bullet 2.5 and have just bought a new kiteboard. I have been out a couple of times and have picked it up quite well. Unfortunately as i have other things to spend my money on i cant afford lots of kites for differing conditions. The question is, which kite should i go for that will go well in most winds and will give me some speed on the board and possobly lift. As i can only afford one i need an all rounder. Your comments and advice would be greatly appreciated. cheers
  7. We had some kicking wind here in Cheltenham it was positively blasting up on Cleeve hill. I had the bullet up and forgot my kite killers which was a bad move when i supermanned it onto the 6th hole of the golf course. I got a very crusty look from one of the golfers as i picked my twisted and bruised frame off the preened green. I just thought f**k golf lets get this bad boy back up there. Even managed to get some lift WoooOoOo.
  8. Just mastered my bullet 2.5 and I am itching for a landboard, though I dont want to spend to much dough at this point. Anyone got any suggestions for a solid product. Are scrubs any whack?
