  1. I need 10+ mph to get moving with the Super Blast (I think this is basically the same kite as now sold as the Blast 2-4, i.e. it can generate about the same power as a 4m foil). The twitchiness does make it a pain to fly with, although I tend to be buggying with foils if the conditions are good - so I probably haven't seen the best that it can do. I haven't flow a C-Quad, but I suspect that the Revolution 'brake' control will be different - most quad line kites fly on the two power lines, with the brakes adding control. Rev's need to be balanced on all 4 lines to fly - which is a strange feeling if you are used to foils. (It is hard to explain how different it feels - there a couple of videos on the Rev web site, that would be worth a look if you haven't seen them before.)
  2. I have a Super Blast, and although I have buggied with it - it's hard work. You can't park it in the window as easily as you can a foil. If you've flown Rev's before, you'll know quickly they power up or down - imagine how much worse this is when a buggy has some of your attention. (Having said that - I don't tend to have the Rev out at all when there are good conditions, so I do need to give it a serious go on a good day to see how good it is.)
  3. Andy - You'll never get your bug over the bridge to the east beach, and the west beach tends to be wet and unpleasant
  4. Petzl do make a pully with sides that swivel, but it doesn't look nearly as substantial as the one shown above.
  5. Has anyone found an open sided pulley that could be attached to a climbing harness instead of a closed pulley with a wichard ? Mike
  6. The low speed problem is easier to solve - attach bungee cords from the tops of the forks to the bottom of the down tube. As long as you have the same tension on both sides, the wheel will centre if your feet come off the pegs. (This works well on my PL folding buggy where the front wheel did tend to turn to 90 degress if left to its own devices.) Mike
  7. If you are attaching a strop line to handles with knots (e.g. Flexi), try using a Rolling Hitch - this is easy to attach and adjust and gives very good lateral strength (I've never had one slip under tension). Go to Google Images and search for Rolling Hitch for how to tie.
