For the coming season i have booked 3 apartments in bansko in feb as there are 12 of us going, we are paying £320- per apartment for a week uncatered.
Whether or not people would book catered or non i would say i depends on where you are, if its somewhere expensive like austria/norway then maybe its a good idea to go catered but if your in bulgaria and its 50p a pint and a few quid for a meal then id say it aint worth it.
Whilst i was looking at places before i booked Bansko i found alot of english style b&bs, catered chalets who were charging alot more than all the other places just becuase they were english run and did a full fry up. So there is a market for brits abroad even in the snow.
Myself i will be steering clear of these gaffs and going cheap.
Also going to norway, but this is even cheaper, girlfriends dad is a ski instructor and lives out there:D
