  18. IF so do you know a good but cheap place to stay, no actually, does anyone know a CHEAP place to stay??
  19. heres the link to the website of where we have booked, the lady who owns them visit bansko once and then brought 3 apartments as she loved it and the snow was amazing, heres hoping http://www.skibg.net/index.htm
  20. For the coming season i have booked 3 apartments in bansko in feb as there are 12 of us going, we are paying £320- per apartment for a week uncatered. Whether or not people would book catered or non i would say i depends on where you are, if its somewhere expensive like austria/norway then maybe its a good idea to go catered but if your in bulgaria and its 50p a pint and a few quid for a meal then id say it aint worth it. Whilst i was looking at places before i booked Bansko i found alot of english style b&bs, catered chalets who were charging alot more than all the other places just becuase they were english run and did a full fry up. So there is a market for brits abroad even in the snow. Myself i will be steering clear of these gaffs and going cheap. Also going to norway, but this is even cheaper, girlfriends dad is a ski instructor and lives out there:D
  21. once you have yaself one mate, i will book up a few weeks!! Bansko looks good, v up n coming and dead cheap the cabrinha is great mate, thanks again and heres hoping for 30mph winds
  22. all of what is said on the rec windsurfing website all refers to travellers within the untited states and not from international destinations. The max allowed from outside the usa is 80", anything from 62" to 80" is subject to a charge of $110- each leg of the flight and as i have 3 legs it guna get expensive. Plus i aint going to find a bag 80" to take all my gear. NIGHTMARE
  23. anyone?? ive just had an hr long argument with them, there website states they will tak surf board, wind surfing equip but it also states that the max size ofr any baggage internationally is 62 inc (width/height n depth) this is 157cm and there max excess baggage is 200cm/80inch again height/width/deth. Has anyone seen a windsurfing board or surfbnoard that is this small. NO!!! I need to hear from people who have managed to get around these ridiculous rules, im stuck with these 2 tickets for a kiting trip but i cant take a travel bag and i cant really travel with 3 small bags, plus my board is 155cm.
  24. hi, has anyone travelled with american ailines with a kitebag?? They seem to only allow a 62inch max dimension of a bag and this is not big enough to take kit!! anyone had any experience with them, any help would be grand lee
