  2. The Campaign gains some parliamentary support....check out the latest update on the blogsite. http://freethefields.blogspot.com.
  3. @ Frakke: Thanks for seeing the light, but I think I need to prove that this is not just a pet project that will go away when something else comes along. I am sure more people will sign up as progress is made and the campaign gathers momentum. Re the BPKA I understand Mell has been unwell so really this project in the scheme of things is not so important. I noticed a post from him saying that all is now well and the BPKA is all caught up now. @Tobz, yes it is interesting about the differentiation between paragliders and us, but DEFRA can't see everything unless it is infront them, when they're designing regulations. The Motor Sports Association have been very helpful. Cheers everyone for all the support, keep the ideas comming and talking and signing.

Url: http://freethefields.blogspot.com Has everyone also seen the other more pressing issue about SKF's plight. They have a petition to save their Airfield from a link road. http://www.skfc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=732 http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/STOP_Rougham_Relief_Road/ Cheers for the Bump Zippy:)

  14. Thanks for this........and I managed it without Viagra!?! Did they give you a reason for turning it down. I am struggling over the wording for the next one?.
  15. Was on my list to do today, thanks for the jog. Its now done; on the BPKA but the other orgs don't have forums.
  16. This morning the scores on the doors is another great leap forward to 212 sigs putting us in the top 8% of supported petitions an incredible response http://www.racekites.com/forum/smileys/smiley20.gif but there are 4121 insured BPKA members and even more insured with the IKO and BKSA members so keep talking, signing and passing it on....well done to all for your efforts so far the response is amazinghttp://www.racekites.com/forum/smileys/smiley10.gif.
  17. Nice one Zippy top man, many thanks..... ...........and over night the score on the door is an amazing 164 sigs that's double yesterday and puts us in the top 800 petitions to no 10 . Keep signing and passing it on........
  18. Looks like the administrators don't like this kind of promotion. No offence intended
  19. There's no definative figure, obviously the more we get the more seriosly we are taken. The most supported petition at the momment contains 78595 sigs....we'll not get that but as a target and as a benchmark guide, to be an officially recognised sport, I think the sport has to have a registered participant level greater than 4000.....so it would be great if we could exceed that figure, as an indicator of the scale of support for the proposal. The petition will have non kiters in it etc..... Thanks for the support......Keep on signing......
  20. Good point well made, the focus of this approach are for those fields that have been either set aside for reasons other than SSSI and those classed as permanent pasture. The field, that sparked off all of the investigation, was in permanent pasture as it is in a flood plain. No good for Rape or any other crop other than grass. There will always be circumstances, especially in cases of environmental protection (and so there should be.) where there will be overriding criteria, but for the rest I say we should do our best to get whatever changes we can..... There were those that doubted women would ever get the vote... ...we gotta try.....but please no chains, railing or arrests!!!! Thanks for your support and wise words. The more insight and experience we share the better.
  21. Thanks for your support........so do I the more signatures we get the more seriously we will be taken. The grass maintenance point is the other part of the plan, farmers won't do this for free (and why should they?) but the current regulations currently won't allow the farmer to receive any payment for the use of the land. The regulations require a farmer to keep the land in GAEC (Good Agrictultural and Environmental Condition) which is defined as being able to return the land to agricultural purposes within a short period. Cutting the grass won't hinder that. So I'll be setting up another petition and approach regime to have the regulations changed so that the farmer can receive a contribution to the costs of maintaining the Management Plan, from a 3rd party. So keep your eyes peeled for the next step.....Thanks very much for your support......this is going to take time but please be certain that until someone tells me that we're wrong or support for the plan runs out or the powers that be definatively say "NO, now bog off", we'll keep politely, professionally and respectfully plugging away.
  22. Outstanding 90 sigs this morning. Heres the URL for you to forward http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/safeflyzones/ Thanks to all for the support, there's plenty of time to get loads more.......
