if the wind is W or NW, famara in the north west of the island (waves, sandy, watch the restricted area at the S end)

 

if it's SE, playa honda (flat, sandy)

 

NE seek out costa teguise (tricky launch, not much margin for error)

 

you can spot these places on any map. it's very easy to drive accross the island to the other side no matter where you are

 

there is a full 5 page spot guide in the march / april 08 kitesurf magazine - i wrote it myself so know it should be fairly on the money :-)
