Dan Masochist Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 You need a smaller kite definately as you'll be lucky to hold the 13 fuel past 25knots. Quote
bradB Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 you will be lucky to get a 9m o7 fuel, if you can DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote

KiteItRight Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 Hi, im thinking of getting a 2007 9m slingshot fuel and want to know how much do you think it would be used this year? i already have a 13m and am looking to get a smaller one to go with it. cheers gary the advice the 9m fuel is widely consided the sweet sized and i reeaally missed it notbeing in my quiver last year. i think anything over 20mph and im on it, so youl be on it more than you are on your 13m for sure mate the 9m is well worth it Quote
KiteItRight Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 in this country i find the wind ranges a little differnt. id say the 7m is 23pmh - 45mph, 9m is 20mph to 40mph, 11 17mph to about 30/35mph the 13 is about 16 - 30mph these are all affected by board size and rider weight, but i think thats what it is for me, with a very wide 40 cm board and about 75 kg Quote
Lukewhity Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 hey gary, i had a 9m 07 fuel last year, i used it as my high wind kite, from what i can remember i was on it quit a lot. i would usually use the 9m in 22mph upwards. Its a really good kite. check out http://www.kiteitright.com/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=17 for more info. Quote

Jofski Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 yo garyc you nver know dude. last year was pumping all summer for some reason (there is a thread that explains why apparently - el nino and the other el effect being more northerly than it usually is) but i remember 2 summers ago we didnt get a breath of wind for about 6-8 weeks day in day out. but seeing as you already have A 13m a 9m fuel would be sweeeeeeeet for days when its pumping....
