philpig Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 looking to by a rev but was wondering which one to buy .quite like the idea of the power blast but as you can buggy with it too but mainly want it to chill out with Quote
bonefish Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 rev sle then in light winds swop the main spar with sky shark p200 awsome http://www.kiteworld.co.uk/acatalog/Kiteworld_Catalogue_Revolution_Kites__81.html Quote
philpig Posted November 11, 2007 Author Report Posted November 11, 2007 what does the swap do and what is a sky shark p200 please excuse my ignorance Quote
The Geoff Posted November 12, 2007 Report Posted November 12, 2007 Skyshark p200 is simply a make of carbon tube - albeit a superbly light one. It gives you an extra few mph at the low end of the wind range. Revs are great fun for low wind or () injury recovery time... Quote
tom1599968574 Posted November 12, 2007 Report Posted November 12, 2007 DONT GET A POWER BLAST!!! I flew one a lil while back. It doesnt fly that much like a rev, and it wasnt that much fun! Get a c-quad if you want to buggy with it - they fly more like revs than the powerblast! Ive got a 1.5exp and a shockwave. The shockwave is pretty hardcore - you need to have some good flying skills. Any of the standard ones are good too fly tho. Quote
weldngod Posted November 12, 2007 Report Posted November 12, 2007 I've got a Rev SLE1.5 and I love it! Great when the tide is high,or the wind is too low to ride. Go ahead and get one ,you won't regret it. Quote
Paul Westlake Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Got the EXP and the SLE, I'd go with any of those. Quote
Jimneybob Posted December 1, 2007 Report Posted December 1, 2007 If you are interested in Rev's but fancy having a go at building something try http://freedom2000.free.fr/freedom_index_eng.html I built one a couple of years back and it flies like a dream. Some of the local stunt fliers that have revs say that mine is at least as good as a rev and some of them even thought it was a little bit better. Cost me about £35 to make, and got most of the stuff from highwaymen. Always in my boot for if the winds not enough for decent power or if I've done myself an injury. Hones 4 line skills like nothing else (and picking peoples hats off their heads with it is always a laugh). Quote
philpig Posted December 1, 2007 Author Report Posted December 1, 2007 Looks Like I May Be Looking At Sle 1.5 I Think. Inlaws Have Donated Funds For It So Christmas Is The Time For Me I Think Quote
