Anne1599968726 Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 i do have a saftey (quick release etc etc) but i thought against it... the lines had got caught in the front wheel :S thats why it was lifting the front up so much... so i thought it was better to keep the kite on me lol and yeah that was the 8.5m I think I should have it back. fuzzycloud Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 What can I say... You're a goon! I wish I'd been there that day though Quote
Frakke1599968664 Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 jon, when your getting dragged upside down with a blade looping, you tend not to have much control, and its really hard to grab the breaks, or QR:p haha why did noone run to help you?! Kinda reinforces the statement that a QR IS ONLY A QR AFTER THE FACT.... unless you have the symbian reflexes of a jedi In the vid you wouldn't pull he QR whilst in the air When you land you're in a mess with the kite brakes are not the first thing that goes through your mind either... So by the time you're nicely sliding along face down you can think oh yes QR !! but can't always reach it.... best thing if you can't reach is to reach for a handful of BOTH brake lines (one will cause a death loop ) First time I managed to pull mine in anger was when I was wrapped up in wacky Jacky' frenzy/manta and I was on my side not my face... almost every other time I have been face down and reaching down under your body in these circumstances is never easy so brakes are an easier option it kills the kite which then stops the travel which allows the QR to be accessed easier... By this time your mates have usually stopped pi$$ing themselves laughing and come over to help as well Nice air BTW... (try leaning forwards a bit more next time) F Quote
kitegirl Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 Awesome!! And hilarious... which is always the best combination. Hope you mend soon Quote
