crut Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 There are westerlies this weekend and was wondering if there are any good spots near southend on sea? I am going to a friends party on the Saturday evening, at Ingatestone, Essex and was wondering if there are any good spots near. Southend looks closest. If not I am going to have to drive all the way to Westward Ho! Any ideas? Quote
Psycho2 Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 Southend (eastbeach, Uncle Toms, The Ray) Bradwell Mersea Island (west) Frinton, Clacton Loads of places to go (not to say all the above work is westerlies). Some do some don't. Take a look at all the local club sites and maps. Feel free to ask any more questions Quote

I'm only down for a day so if it is a big hoopla to ride down there I wont bother, I was just interested more than anything else. And the ho is out, I can't do a 4-5 hour drive just to day trip. marman Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 And the ho is out, I can't do a 4-5 hour drive just to day trip. 3 1/2 hours each way for 6 weeks on the trot... thats dedication ](i may of got lifts to avoid driving) Quote

It'd be a no brainer. But as I'll be pretty much on the East coast, it is madness to drive all the way to the west for ~16mph winds. Quote
