Can't believe That shed passed without a backhander, My Tranny looks like it just came out of the showroom compared to yours, AND IT FAILED TODAY, despite, two new Wheel arches And wings(to make it look prettier) and a spray, Full new exhaust system, Handbrake cable And Three new tyres.

Heres what the buggers recon it needs, Two new wheel bearings, Fan belt(perished and split) Water pump(leaking) Track rod end(Play in it) and if he's fitting a water pump he recons he needs to change the cam belt too, cos its gotta come off to get to the water pump ,and a bulb out, (funny how they always go on the way to the testing centre.)

Where did you take yours? Think i'm getting fleeced???

The bugger want the price of a good board to do the work.

Ahh well, one good thing to come out of it, No work for the next four days, Anglesea here i come.

Chek this,

This was the fail ---

  1. 2 new brake discs (worn to exxessessxe.. £45)
  2. Play in wheel bearing (nip the sod up and grease)
  3. Exsesxxxesx play in drag link ball joint (£10)
  4. 2 spots ov welding on front chasis (£60)

Jobs 1/2/3 did meself.....

Tape on the arches to cover sharp edges..

And the mot is comercial coz its a twin wheel axel and they are more strict !!!!!!!!

If u want the addy for the garage drop me a pm :)

The key with MOTs is to make sure you can do most of the work yourself and take it to a place that doesnt have a garage attached - its in their interest to fail you. An independant MOT place should have no grounds for failing you - they make their money by passing vehicles, fails mean a re-test. Of course that does rely on the fact that you can spot danger points yourself as these are more likely to be missed in this case IMO. But then the MOT isnt a replacement for good maintenance - you should spot safety issues BEFORE the MOT- hence independant MOT places are best!

That van looks great - what sort of economy do you get out of it? Which engine is it? Im jealous!
