Zotty Posted June 11, 2007 Report Posted June 11, 2007 Cools pis Zotty what kite is he flying in the pics I am having probs with de power kite atm my kids arms are not long enough to let it go full out Had probs with harness also got it sorted with a climbing harness XS kids Black widow 9m and 6m i think craig struggled with reaching the depower strap.. with letting the bar fully out and also getting a harness to fit.. the one a i bought him 3 years ago is just starting to fit him snug.. when done up as tight as it will go lol.. craig found that by sticking his bum right out he could just about reach the strap and let the bar all the way out.. this forced him to have an unsual flying style.. he can reach everything now has no issues and has adopted a normal stance now Quote
kite crazy Posted June 11, 2007 Report Posted June 11, 2007 well good stuff there mate. like you said in the title get um while theyre young actually really good skills shown there aiming to get my sister (9) on the beamer 2.5m before long also, my dad said he would love to have a go in a buggy. so hopefully he'll buy loads of kites to "share" Quote
kite crazy Posted June 11, 2007 Report Posted June 11, 2007 an option for the depower rope is tie a knot in the far end.... makes it a hell of a lot shorter and doesnt affect performance Quote
bikespod Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 what a cool kiddo, beats the xbox hands down. bit embarrasing that he is clearly getting more air than i have managed still, i am learning. Quote

Afro1599968737 Posted June 15, 2007 Report Posted June 15, 2007 i've taught kids on depowers and i've got a few tips... if you tie a knot in the depower rope, do it on the chickenloop side, that way it shortens the rope, but doesnt stop him from depowering, just takes a little bit off the max power tie a rope to the trip strap and at the other end have a loop around the depower rope (like you can with frenzies) BUT this only works if the trim strap is on a clamcleat, so you might have to change it Quote
Alfman Posted June 17, 2007 Author Report Posted June 17, 2007 ty all for your comments have a look at this time to learn how to buggy Luke age 7 and 3 stone in weight wind was blowing 15-20 mph so strong enough for him Quote
