Roaddog Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 I was onced ripped off a couple of years ago for a mobile phone I bought on eBay but the good thing is that I paid for it through Paypal. I reported the seller to Paypal as a non completing/delivering seller, Paypal then emailed the guy and gave him a week or so to reply and deliver the item (which he never did), after 2 weeks paypal gave me my cash back in full. I always use Paypal on eBay and won't deal with anyone unless they accept it. What makes you think you are being scammed? Quote

Neil aka KC Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 yer but this dude now has my name , phone number, email addy, and the town were i live , dunno ???? Ah so has he actually won the action then? because i thought you could only request details after the event based on whos won. Not an awful lot you can do, if thats your main consirn of fraud, other than to doucment whats happend, and keep a close eye on things. I wouldnt worry to much about it, there is fair easyier methods of getting peoeples details and do ID Fraud. Its actually quite as simple as me renting a flat out, and then changing someones details on the Electrol Register, once that updates, which takes about a month, you then can start applying for things, but Credit Agencys tend to not like people in new residence if they havent been there long, all depends on your credit rating i guess. ady_236 Posted May 31, 2007 Author Report Posted May 31, 2007 no he hasnt won it yet but his the high bidder you can get the details of anyone that you are dealing with , but they also send them your details at the same time i diddnt realsie this until i got the email stating it , by then it was to late !! just have 2 suck it and see and like you say keep a record and maybe inform ebay!
