i use a dakine fusion

Yup me too, I havn't anything to compare it to, but I assume it the bee's knee's. Well I would hope for for £80 without spreaderbar or pad or strop  but is really comfy and doesn't 'rub' or 'get tight' in any places when flying. Ohh and it's not hard on your ******** either. There's enough room to move, but not enough to bouce  which is good.

Well I am mainly a Buggier and i use a Libre seat harness.

I have tried waist harnesses but didnt like then at all!

The libre harness with all the bits cost me well over £100, but it is definitely worth it!

You have a frenzy and no harness! You must be Lolage!

No, were brothers, Lolage and me have the same kites each exept the frenzy, we now just need to get a harness BEFORE we fly the 7.5 frenzy.

Do NOT get the Qardafoil or Radsail harnesses, ones is very uncomfortable espcially when flown powered up and the other has had issues with construction/durability.

Yes they are cheap (ish) but trust me harnesses tend to be an item that people kep till they fall apart, so well worth investing in a desent one.

Scubs are good value, Dakine and Maui Magic do some very good, strong and comfortable ones, try to get ones with multipoint adjustment atleast as gives great adjustability plus helps hold the harness in place better. Also if possible a power/battle belt as helps spread the loads and makes a very good spreader bar pad :)

Good luck, Jon

Ps, E-bay is a good place to look for less popular sizes, ie smalls.

We are looking to buy one in the price range of £10 - Perhaps £40

a) You need to try different harnesses on, even if you don't buy from a shop, you ought to go try some on. This will allow you to see what works well for you - personally I tried on about 7 different harnesses and knew which one was right for me. This will give you an idea what you are looking for and can dip into buying second hand either off here or eBay.

b) I wouldn't trust a brand new harness that is £10. Or even £40. I've seen people with them and they look dodgy and wouldn't trust my own safety with them. This is a piece of kit you do not want to fail on any occasion. One of the fellow LHF had a clasp go on his harness and the kite powered up, ripped him and ended up shattering his ankle. You must make sure it is good quality as I am sure you're dad, who I know is very concisous of safety, will agree.

Hope this helps.

if youre on a budget then i say dakine speed seat, its what ive got, its cheap and reasonably comfy, i think inc spreader bar its around 55 quid

tbh unless you get a climbing harness you aint gonna get a decent harness for 40 quid...
