Sparhawk Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 I don't know and I'm too scared to add it all up!But if most people added up all the cash they p****d up against the wall in the pub or offy I'm sure it would be as much or more for alot of us.So that puts it all in perspective for me:) I'm flatly refusing to do either calculation Quote
TallPaul Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 Scarily enough worked this out the other day. About 11K in five years. It was something like 28 kites. 3 buggies, 2 mountain boards, 2 kiteboards god knows how many accessories. Quote

jonwall Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 In the last four years I've owned (as far as I can remember): 4.9 Blade 3 10.5 Blade 3 Flexdeck mk 2 13m Slingshot GTO 14m Flexifoil Storm II 10m Airush Flow 14m Airush Flow 19m Liquid Force Spectrum 12m Takoon Nova 19m Slingshot Fuel 04 13m Slingshot Fuel 05 9m North Rhino06 13m Slingshot Fuel 06 20.5m Slingshot Machine 11m GK Sonic 07 Ocean Rodeo Outlaw 142 Stonker 147 Cabrinha Prodigy 158 Trinity Patriot 129 Liquid Force Skimskate Nobile 666 132 Trinity Fatboy GCK Prototypes 2 wetsuits 3 harnesses 1 impact vest 2 helmets 3 bags Plus 18 months of petrol money and 2 and a half years of train fares... Just added up and it's a painful amount, which explains why after 5 years of working 24 hour weekends I have virtually no savings at uni! Still, I don't regret a bit of it and of course after selling some of the kites I got some of the money back, kitesurfing has been well worth the outlay for me and it's all been bought with my own money since day one. LetoII Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 There's no way on earth I'm going to try and add it up, same as I refuse to add up my climbing/mountaineering/walking/camping kit, my mountain biking stuff, my surfing stuff, camera gear, or even my computer. If I want/need something and I can afford it I'll get it, which isn't to sya I'm blasei (??sp??) about it, I just believe in living for the moment and getting out there doing stuff. With any sport you'll always spend some money, then some more etc, and thats withouth travel costs and things like car maintenance, but at the end of the day some experiences are priceless, and if you aren't out there you'll never know..... I know I have spent far more then that and I know of at least one person who has been involevd in powerkiting for 15 year or more who must of spent 10's of thousands by now. I can think of at least 7 different complete sets of kites (5 to 9 per set) he has owned (and still does fas or some reason he never sells on) GaRRy Quote
