louisemarson Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 He had a prototype of a type of plastic which the guys were testing. They have now upgraded to something else. We tried getting the vinyl off his old belly pan at the beach- my good god- it bloomin stuck like super glue! No amount of sand or water is going to make anyone's vinyl fall off. Genius. Quote
foz.foz Posted February 20, 2007 Author Report Posted February 20, 2007 No amount of sand or water is going to make anyone's vinyl fall off. Genius. Famous last words Lou... Quote
LetoII Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 Nah Foz foz, the stuff is well hard! you'd have to use sandpaper on it to remove it I reckopn, or some solvent to melt the adhesive. As for the original, yeah it was a prototype I had from the guys when they were experimenting with materials, you just can't beat a good bit of R+D! This new stuff is even better as well, and the vinyl work just as lovely. Quote
jontwhale Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 Foz, you'll have to actually use it and not leave it sat at home looking pretty to find out though Jon Quote

KiteBoyStu Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 This is what I myself actually did this evening: I just stabbed meeself in the leg making a new belly pan for the buggy:) Luckily my very good kite surfing\landboarding mate Tim is a nurse and lives just behind me - a quick phone call later and i've got butterfly stitches and a huge dressing LOL Still - what do you expect when using a very sharp knife cutting towards yourself in a badly lit room? Gotta go - need to clean up the blood;);) Quote
girlkiteless Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 Why not pimp the real thing, plain blacks of the original Flexi rips belly pan available from www.ripsbellypans.co.uk These were designed by Rob Hills, designer of the flexi buggy. There are also other rips in the range (PL XR, PL COMP, Libra Vmax and Special, Parastorm). Quote
tszy Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 Got mine from Darksky last week - custom graphic and even came with fitting instructions. Good price too. Quote
