The Flyin Scotsman Posted April 19, 2007 Report Posted April 19, 2007 Oh how you all mock, it'll be good to see your faces when they arrive at the beginning of May HAHAHAHAHAHAHA May 2009 PMSL Maybe if you knew what we knew you wouldn't be laughing you'd be starting to sell your Yaks and chatting to Roger, traitor . Lem Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 Hmm.. going on some of the local racing here, you don't need these big race buggies and twitchy high-performance kites. What you really need is a flexi bug that rattles very badly and looks a bit tatty and a big depower kite. A guy with a 10m Speed blew away most of the field finishing 2nd in the first two rounds of the SEKA races. Admitedly, it's not super cup, but there were a few embarrased K-platers about! Quote
king_of_the_sky Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 having a K plate means nothing though all it means is your either a member of the FED or PKA which anyone can join. Quote

jeffrington Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 As a few posts above have said, the pilots ability has a huge impact on how a kite performs. Watching Jeffrington at Hoy flying Oxi's, mixing it with Nitro's, Yaks and Centuries was very entertaining. "Mixing it" i think it was more a case of me getting in the way, especially at the turns Quote
Lem Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 having a K plate means nothing though all it means is your either a member of the FED or PKA which anyone can join. OK - let me rephrase that - people with 1k+ buggies, race kites AND k-plates. Quote

"all the gear but no idea" Just cause they have a few grands worth of kit dont make them any good, just means they have lots of disposable income ...... b*stards Quote

khooke Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 ok guys, so what's the final verdict, is it worth to keep waiting for a Combat to appear, look for a Century to be had for a bargain, or consider something else that's more easily available right now (dare I say it, a Yak?) ?? PS. G - doesn't your custom colour scheme resemble the colours the original Preds came in (can't see if that's red or orange on my screen, but looks pretty impressive either way ) Cheers, Kev Quote
