ShapeShifter Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 you have to ask ? That'll be either Ainsdale or Blackpool mate. Famillirise yourself with the regs tho. Might even bump in to you there if I ever get this house finished ! Quote
JDC Posted December 6, 2006 Author Report Posted December 6, 2006 you have to ask ? Normally wouldnt ask - but I have vague memories of something about having to be a member to kite at ainsdale - I'll go away and check it out - cheers for the replies tho. Quote

I only said that because we have alot of representatives from there on here mate. you do need a permit, valid BKSA insurance and you need to be a member of the club. not to mention the riding boundries - if you sail past the ranger center - we all get banned. JDC Posted December 7, 2006 Author Report Posted December 7, 2006 Im next to Saints ground - 5 mins from the East Lancs - so Im guessing thats 25 minutes to the beach for me http://community.flexifoil.com/images/icons/king.gif. Who'd have guessed St Helens was a hotbed for kitesurfers? Would be good to hook up if we get some windy days. Quote
mini fletch1597507508 Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 fleetwood is good on anything from a west to an east, there is a sandbank about a mile out and before the tide comes over it, the water is really flat, then you get a few hours of waves and then when the tide is going out, it flattens off again, i'm usually out there at the weekend and its also good for landboarding! JDC Posted December 12, 2006 Author Report Posted December 12, 2006 Guys - cheers for the replies - probably wont bother over christmas cos ainsdale just seems like a bit too much hassle at the moment, judging by the threads on this forum, for me to get sorted. I'll take a look again in the new year. Quote
THE SPASM Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 I know. I only went a month back an im still scared about goin back. Think il wait till i can afford a helmet and rashy. 70 sheets are better spent elsewhere. come on blackpool! Quote
elgordo Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 You don't have to wear a helmet or rash vest or be in a club.Just be insured.Dont let the 'rantings' of few disgruntled f....wits put you off.I think you will find the reality that it is a great(and welcoming)beach chris Quote
THE SPASM Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 Yea. think its all cleared up now. There were a lot of rantings! insane in the membrane. Quote
kevob Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 yeah dont worry ainsdale is a brilliant place(nothing like the impression you get on here which is mostly tongue in cheek anyway) Quote
