Oceag Posted November 17, 2006 Report Posted November 17, 2006 Our local flying club charge £2000 to get you your PPL. My sisters boyfriends Dad runs the club. Thats in the NE of scotland. Quote
Donk Posted November 17, 2006 Author Report Posted November 17, 2006 ah... that's a very very long long way... Quote
flyer_gaz Posted November 17, 2006 Report Posted November 17, 2006 6k sounds about right these days. When i did mine yrs ago it was about 4k when u include everything. Just dont go for ATPL like i did and stump up silly money and then no job lol Quote
raptor Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 PPL licenses are not cheap and get even more expensive the further up the ladder. a friend of mine has just spent (debt) in total 18k to get him a commercial license and took 6 yrs to do it. this is a total figure from scratch to finish. his salary now is good so it's pay back time for friends and family who have helped him out Quote
Donk Posted November 19, 2006 Author Report Posted November 19, 2006 i was told that to get instrument rating on, for example a 737, from start to finish would be about 75K! Quote
