Hoping to get down tomorrow but it will be my first time as I normally stay up at Ainsdale, just to make sure I don't make this trip in vein, the beach is the one nearest the town? Are there any rules / politics / local conditions which are worth knowing?

Cheers Guys

Dave,

its worth noting that rossi in a blow is not for the guys with little experience, it can bite back if you make a mistake, (i think rossi has the worst accident record, but it also has the most sailors) the rocks that lie right on the beach are up to 6ft tall and are made of slate and part of the beach has a clump that streches from the low water mark up to the hi tide mark, the waves when windy rise to 12 ft high and will eat you if your not up to quick getaways or flying right off the top, at hi tide there is little room for beach launch's, thats the bad side,

the good side is if you get accross the river and walk well down wind the conditions are much better, even superb, but the venue is known as one of the uks top wave spots, when its big its scary!
