Nutty Boy Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 Hiya, Have been out of the loop a bit after a year of not really using the kite and buggy - am looking at getting a 2005 1.2 sting just to throw in the sky for a bit of fun and chilling - is it a good kite or will I get bored with it after 10 minutes. I have a 4.5 bullet which I use for buggying. Any thoughts? Cheers Quote
sk8 Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 I've got a 2005 1.2 metre sting and its just like a mini me quad line. Turns faster obvoiusly; i've had great fun with it. is useful if you can't be arsed to put up a big one. Controls are just the same Quote

Zotty Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 stings rock !!!!! great little kites i must admit.. we have lots of little battles with them when theres 3 or 4 of us got em up.. top fun Quote
AshG Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 Indeed, Stings are a great laugh. I've got a 1.7, which zips around the sky like a mad thing, and can still give you a good workout in strong winds. After flying my Rage 3.5 for a bit and then switching kites, the Sting feels like a toy with its mini-me handles! Quote
G Padpo Posted July 26, 2006 Report Posted July 26, 2006 They're great just for messin around, also its perfect if you wanna go out and fly and there is a family member/friend whos never flown before Quote

Still can't axel mine..... But yeah, well worth having one for nuclear wind or for letting newbies play about with. Ally and I have even used one in pretty much 0mph, you can 360 them legging it around in a big circle. Quote
oc1rob Posted July 26, 2006 Report Posted July 26, 2006 They are great!! Threat them like a soft Rev rather than a power kite and you can have a mental time with it!! Great for drawing shapes in the sky either in controlled circumstances or in mental winds Will leave you with a grin!!! Quote
