RS buggy on ebay

Dont think so, however John at Buggybags made the roll bar bag for my RS so he sould be able to sort you a bag out.................:D

From what I can remember the distance between the back of the seat and the axle is to short to take a v-max / full race bag.

The roll bar bag would work without the additional support, however it would lose its shape when not "Full" of kit...............

Best bet is to give John a bell and see if he kept the templates to the RS bag, he should remeber it as its on the front page of buggybags.co.uk along with my V-flex.............:D:D

ok i will give him a try cheers.........

Hi Adam,

Is Luke getting on ok with the harness?

***

I need to find out what material these belly pans are made from and where I can buy a sheet. Most of the added bits on my buggy have been made at home and the belly pan is the last thing needed. I'm not dissing anyone elses efforts, I'd just like to do this for myself purely for the personal satisfaction of having done it.

On another note, has anyone noticed that Ralf hasn't had any buggies for sale on Ebay for the past week?

See ya,

Si

Hi Simon,

Yup Lukes getting on great with the harness - apparently its really great and comfy, and loves the spreader bar padding.

I just got him a captive system (see Kite killer thread for pic) , so he's quite happy with it.

From e-mails to and from Ralf to Luke, he is building more buggies, and are getting zinc coated and pulverised (???) , so wont be any for sale till the end of the week.

Made my belly pan from a plastic 5 gallon water container as used in industry- cut in half with a recipo saw and jigsaw.

Made a cardboard template and tweaked it till it fitted.

fitted and attached with tie-wraps.

hope this helps

cheers Gavin

LOL @ "pulverised", Ralphs a top dude but his english is a but suspect (mind you its better than my German) for Pulverised you can assume he means Powder Coating, and by zink plating, you can assume it a coating called "Zinkrolight" which is a more enviromentaly friendly substance.....:D

From looking at the coating its a gold color (Zincrolight) as opposed to the old dull silver color found on nuts and bolts 15 years ago. (if my memory serves me right zink plating was outlawed about 10 years ago.........)

Just like to say "cheers" to all the RS/buggy pornstars above and in other threads who's advice and comment I have found extremely helpful. I'm a relatively newbie to kiting (1 year) and I only lost my buggying virginity just over a week ago in my new RS buggy, bought back in July based on seeing one at Hoylake and the advise on this site. Slight downside is I must have bought one of the last ones with the old seat......DOH!..Otherwise made up with it.

As for the buggying. Great fun if not a little nerve-racking first time out. After being ultra cautious with the kite sizes (moved only 10 yrds with 1.8 beamer!), I did get it going with a 2.5, if mainly down wind. Turning OK, but spent most of the afternoon walking kite and buggy back upwind!

Main lesson learned. Carry ground spike. A squall caught me 100yrds from my gear, with kite parked on the sand.:o Wrapping handles around buggy wheel not particularly clever, but got me out of a fix!

I will no doubt be back with loads of questions, but for now CHEERS:D :D

Hi People

I have just bought myself a RS buggy. Not only that my mate has also bought himself a new RS buggy. After reading this forum I decide that for the money my son should get one as his first buggy. He wanted a strong buggy to take to a mountainbord centre and to do the tracks with. Since then I have taken it out and had a few goes kitebuggying and so has my mate. We soon emailed Ralf and bought a buggy each. We went for the midi wheels, a standard axle and also a wide axle each. That should give is enough scope to take on most terrains. My mate will taking it to the mountainboard centre and try to take on the tracks they have there. If I get any pics I will put them up? I'm just going to use mine with a kite and stick to my mountainboard for going down tracks which is safer I think!

I will tell you how we got on when we all have our first race, wind and wives permiting!

The pic is my son taking his RS through the woods

OK hear goes.

@ Bushy, Mark, do a search on e-bay for "RS badge" loads on there and are quite cheap ranging from £5.00 to about £13.00...........:D:D

@ Coyote, The RS seat is more an alternative replacment to the Libre Special seat as opposed to the V-max..:(

Ive tryed the RS seat in my V-flex (fitted with a V-max seat) and to honest its not a replacment for a V-max seat.

When deciding on the RS logo perhaps need to consider how funky or not it will look on clothing as well as a badge.

My other hobby is dinghy sailing and my current boat is an RS200, where RS stands for Racing Sailboats. The "RS" logo used in this class is pretty boring.

However, there is potential for some witty (you may think not) strap lines.

e.g."Nothing beats RSing around on windy days!"

Not the best finish, but you can buy iron on paper, which you just print off on the home printer.

I'll get my arty teenage daughter to produce a few mock ups......anything to avoid tidying her room!

If/when you get to a final design I think there is a guy on Birkenhead market who can get them done reasonably cheaply.

Whoah there cowboy.....It's too easy to get stitched up for jobs on this forum LOL:D
