Tyler Durden Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 That cant be safe? Hence the name! Quote
AliB Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 jus a leash from the back of your harness to ure chicken loop. only for the hardcore riders.!!! its not as such a leash. jus a device to stop you losing your kite!!!!! Quote
Joe2003 Posted February 8, 2006 Author Report Posted February 8, 2006 wooohoo, bit more than suicide then. More of a major death wish! Guess its just for at sea or on the snow, places that arnt crowded. I saw a picture of the new zero 5 bar up quite close. It had a leach attached to the chicken loop but wasnt a suicide leach. oh well. Does anyone actually use these on land then? Quote

Joe2003 Posted February 8, 2006 Author Report Posted February 8, 2006 Where?......... it was in the new kite world magazine. Didnt buy it was just flicking. It was the one with the yelow front cover, pink writing and a pic of arron hadlow on the cover. It was on a full page advert for the venom 2. It looked like a zero 4 but had a leach that attached to a weird looking D ring within the chicken loop. It also had a trim strap that was more like a flysurfer bar, had a toggle that you pulled rather than a webing strap like on the 04. Cant really describe it but it was definatly a peter lynn bar, was red grey and yellow with the peter lynn logo on the center + writing, even had the same neoprene bar end covers. Quote
Joe2003 Posted February 8, 2006 Author Report Posted February 8, 2006 Will go and buy a copy tomorrow and scan it for you barry Quote

needakite mike Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 yer it is just got two differnt names thats all Quote
enterusername Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 yer it is just got two differnt names thats all wrong depends on ur set-up if u are riding ur 5th line kite and the handle pass leash is connected to the 5th lin then this is called a handle pass leash! (same if it is conected to any other re-ride safety sytem eg. the safety on a flysurfer/peter lynn) if u are riding any kite that has a leash directly attached to the chicken loop (with no option of safety other than to get rid of everything) then this is a suicide leash!! (some bows can have leash directly to chicken loop that when u let go of the bar they totally depower, making this ur means of safety) confused yet, i was when writting this lol!! Quote
Neddy knacker Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 use it on the water never had any problems woudnt reccomend it for use on land, then again wudnt recomend any kiting on land!! Quote
