Coool photies.

Mine was very similiar. Six in the fib plate for me (three at top, three at bottom) with the bottom one being a geet long un locking the joint up.

The long ones on the outside look interesting though. Does that mean that lumpy bit was snapped off ?

(phew getting a bit quesy now thinking about that)

Not bad, just wished i'd got copies of my arm when i broke it in the early 90's. 12 screws two plates, 4 wires. two 1" gaps filled with bone graft thats after using two external fixators. Arm rotation severly limited so could be classed as disabled. the xrays look more impressive than the description.

anyone know how to obtain old xrays

I was thinking that too Abbe!! I thought, "but those two long screws aren't attached to any plates! What, did they just have some spares to get rid of?!", but I guess that part of the ankle just didn't require a plate...they just put those two screws straight into the bone...right into the marrow.

Yum!!

Nice one Russ...looks far more interesting on the X-Ray that in the pub last night though! ;)

mmmmm, number 8 woodsrews by the looks of it. Hope he used the torque setting on his cordless drill/driver, don't want them spinning around coz you've overtightened. Got some down the shed if you need any:D
