However most people don't really like them that I talk to so you may want to get your money back and try something else. Is that Extreme kites or Extreme kite shop (the real extreme kites) as EKS do a really good serivce and I have heard EK do a really bad service! it is EXTREME KITES NOT EXTREME KITESHOP!(eks) scince i ordered them i have heard more bad than good about the bindings...but hey surely they work for some?? i have odd shaped feet i.e a high arch and very wide base of my feet, (i used to walk on tip-toe when i was a nipper, due to a short tendon in the backs of my legs) which i dont now! the problem i have is i cant keep bindings on me feet.....when i landboard i use MBS F3 bindings (rachet type) so i guessed these m1's would work ok??? Tim186 Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 I ordered mine direct from Martin Tech who have a UK distributor and got them within a few days. All i can say is mine are great, i hate the F3s and these made a great alternative Quote
ShapeShifter Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 Trixx - I am the uk Distributor for martins products and I want to sfirstly appologise for the delivery time it has taken me this time. This was due to my wife having given birth to a baby boy on Sept 4th and since then I have not been able to administer my work. I hope you understand. I'd like to add that this was not the fault of Extreme Kites at all. They submitted the request in good time. The failure is with me so please rest assured that your bindings will be with you tommorrow. And accept my sincere appologies..... I am now back in the dirving seat and no such event will occur in future. Regds. Ron. Quote
ShapeShifter Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 I'd also like to add that we have sold 150 pairs to date and we have had ZERO returns. There were issues with the dials but these have all been replaced and the product does everything it says on the packet as long as maintained as per the maintenance note on the martins website. Quote
trix222 Posted September 19, 2005 Author Report Posted September 19, 2005 cheers for your reply shapeshifter! appology accepted as i am neither a father or planning to be...................for as long as possible i can but only try to understand the work load a baby must bring!! may i offer congratulations to both you and your missus thanks again may i ask do you use the M1 binding?? trix Quote
ShapeShifter Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 Hi Trixx, Thanks for the understanding. In answer - Damned right I do ! Been using the same set for 12 months now and only stiffened on me once when I left it un maintained for a few weeks. I fit them as standard to all the boards I make too. If you couple them with a set od Dakine control contour pads they are unbeatable. Regds. Ron. Quote
trix222 Posted September 19, 2005 Author Report Posted September 19, 2005 If you couple them with a set od Dakine control contour pads they are unbeatable sweet i have had a set of these on my nemisis for a few weeks now! cant wait to try em now........best wait for me toes to heal............NAAAAAAAAAA lol as for fixing them to your board is there any hints or tips?? cheers Quote
ShapeShifter Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 Trixx - Board fixings are supplied - well the plates are - you just use the presently fitted screws from last set on board. Regds. Ron. Quote

Trixx ref the M1 bindings, they are very nice, BUT you do need to fix them well, ie with brackets (which I now belive they come with?). Have seen people fix them using the old bolts/rubber posts from their velcro bindings. This is not great as they can still twist on top, so feed back/input to teh deck is not as good. Angle brackets make them stiffere an dmore responcive. One trick is also to coat the inside of the Neoprean binding with "Black Witch" it is a rubber/neoprean repair type stuff. It gives it a nice latex finsinh which A) offers better grip (as neoprean can be a bit slippery againts land footwear) but B) gives some protection against the neoprean being damaged from metal eyelets on boots etc? Have fun, Jon Quote
trix222 Posted September 19, 2005 Author Report Posted September 19, 2005 cheers for ya info spooky but i am using them for my kitesurf board only! gonna stick with me f3's for land.................FOR NOW..... Quote
muppetdude1 Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 i used these straps on my ol hanacrew board and they were excellent cos of the broad strap and shape i like to have very loose fittings cos i like to bail the board if its going tits up from a powered move - best footstrap ive ever used for board offs cos you can grip the straps with toe ends cos i rarely get the pefect foot in and the grip stopped spin out landings cos you can hook those toes up i would gladly have them on my new flx board - so if you need space for nappies ron chuck us some freebies by all means i guess youre obessessed with the baby rather than forecasts now - it gets better but more expensive im afraid Quote

ShapeShifter Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 Trixx - put screw/bolt through the steel plates, then in hole in the webbing under the neoprene either end....job done. Quote
