hello mate, alot of people kite at Sandbanks which is other side of the harbour. Nice shallow/Flat waters and i think you can kite in all wind directions. I have only been there once a few weeks ago but the local crew all seemed like nice people.

lard man,

i normally use xcwether.co.uk or bbc for wind predictions..

http://www.purbeck-dc.gov.uk/content/weather/index.html is also good, but it seems to be fooked at the moment.

As to where people kite at poole, just go to sand banks...depending on wind direction you have the choice of the harbour in S - W - NW directions..or the beach side which works in NE - E - S directions. Harbour is normally more gust though but is sweet in NW. Have fun.

Hi Lard

Have to agree with what DC said - stick to the harbour m8 if your still learning.

Funny you should ask what the winds are as i am now on leave and planning to spend as much time in the harbour as i can ...

Saturday west

Sunday north west

Monday west

Tuesday west

Wednesday east

All good apart from maybe wednesday.

I havent put the windspeeds on as they have been very inacurate recently forcasting 5 mph and then its blowing 15-20 !!

Keep an eye out for me and my nephew - were flying guerilla II's 15, 11 and 9 depending on the winds and can be found in weird lookling white mazda camper wid a raised roof if were not on tha water and waiting for the wind.

Have fun!

Gary
