davidwhat Posted August 3, 2005 Report Posted August 3, 2005 i'm looking for a leash for my new board, which one is the best to get? Quote
Airpowerd Posted August 3, 2005 Report Posted August 3, 2005 None! but if you must have one then the reelleash is the only safe option if you like your head intact Quote
ShapeShifter Posted August 3, 2005 Report Posted August 3, 2005 Dumbass Question - No Leash mate - have you read about the fatalitie rate of them things ? Learn to body drag before learning to jump - that WILL help.... The reel leash is not a SAFE option. It does reach full extention and recoils to yo heed. sorry to sound short but this really gets me. I also stated NONE but perhaps i should have added that its use should be for only entering the water or as in the tread you list dragging another board back in.removing it whilst riding my meaning was that of all the leashes available its the ONLY one that addresses safety in any way at all, and as with helmets (always wear mine , without board leash) you won't convince all people all the time and if they insist on using a leash then the reel leash is the only current option IMHO. But you're right don't bother with one learn to bodydrag 1st Quote
