I want to start kitesurfing this summer, once my exams are finished, but i only have enough money to buy one kite, and i was wondering if the Strike 2 13m with 5th line would be a good choice, because i has such a massive wind range?

im hoping to find a nearly new second hand one about, but they are like gold dust at the moment

i fly the strike2's and love them but for a first kite it is not worth splashing out all that money on one.

get on the www.kiteboarder.co.uk forum and get yourself a couple of cheap second hand kites and learn on them. use and abuse it, and then one you are at am ok/half decent level where you can really feel the difference about the kites then get a more up to date one.

and as for a second hand strike2.. you wont be that lucky.

but i think angelo at surface2air has an 11m going

yeah the wind range is big with a fifth line, but the bottom end grunt could still be a bit better, but the high end is phenomenal
