I use a Dainese setup similar to that but a different model (with diagonal chest zip) and Dainese crash shorts (originally bought for snowboarding), Both quite effective although I did get a nasty bruise on my hip recently despite wearing the shorts. I often use the back protector seperately with seperate elbow pads as the whole suit can be a bit OTT when the wind is relatively low.

Can get a bit hot in the summer but in the winter they are very comfortable.

i think te padding is a bit of overkill to be perfectlt honest.helmet and pads is more than enough.I dont even wear that which i no i probably should. You have just got to learn how to fall.I play lots of rugby so thats why i dont feel the need to pad up as when i fall i jus roll over and regain my feet in one swift motion. Its a brilliant skill learning how to bail! But if you feel you need that sort of padding go for it with some ATB shorts!

When you've got damaged discs in your spine its not! Back protectors are essential imho. I know someone who broke their spine from a kiting accident.
