ive never tried it but a mate of mine has, apparently there is not enought to carve the board into the sand and also if you do try it. also use an old board cause the sand wil f*** the bottom up competely.

try it and let us know how you get on

I have sandboarded on some huge sand dunes in Puru, was quite a laugh, but it is a bit pants. If you were to do it I guess you might have more luck in the dry sand than the wet stuff. And wax up the board - that should get it moving. - The guys where we were used floor polish on the board, just slap it on and throw yourself down!

I'd be interested in hearing if it worked though. But overall I guess you'd soon be giving up and reaching for a mountainboard.

Good luck if you try it!

There is a local guy that does it, I asked him, he says it works really well once you get the hang of it.

Locally they call them duneboards. There is a company that makes some with a very good base material, can't remember the name now, if you use them you should have very little problems.

In dry lose sand, is it not a bit like snowkiting??
