swioklo2000 Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 I have a stack consisting of a 10ft super 10, 8ft proteam 8, 6ft stacker and the 4ft one which I can't remember the name of. I have also just bought a Flexi Kava Dek. I want to get a blade to use with this but in the meantime would it be suitable to practice on the board with the stackers. They can shift me along pretty fast while scudding so generate quite a bit of power, just not as consistant as a 4-line traction kite though. Any views would be appreciated. Quote
The Geoff Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 It will work - I've boarded with a single Super10 - but you really have to work the kites to keep the power on. If you can board with stackers you'll be laughing when you get the blade Quote
Henry Primett Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 i did it with a single proteam 8 once was pretty darn windy its works out but you have to keep bring the kits back into the middle of the window unlike with big kites were u move them up and down the edge Quote
tom1599968574 Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 stackers pull when they are moving, mainly in the middle of the window. when your boarding or buggying or whatever, the main force you want is right at the edge of the window i.e. where the stacker loses all it pull! it can be done, you need a lot of wind tho. you will find it easier with a traction kite tho. kitesurfdude182 Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 Sounds like fun anyway but yeah save some pennies and buy a tractoin kite you'll have alot more success! Quote
The Geoff Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 the 4ft one which I can't remember the name of. the Hot Shot 4 wasn't it? Quote
swioklo2000 Posted March 20, 2005 Author Report Posted March 20, 2005 the Hot Shot 4 wasn't it? Your right flair. It was the hot shot. Doesn't add anything to the power but looks pretty good with the other 3. Thanks for your views guys. I think I will give the boarding a go with the Stack. Quote
