Or can you make a vid download only?? one thing you can do is to stop remote linking to files with certain endings, so first off they have to visit a page on your site before they download it. . .(helps to stop the URL been tossed around the web so much) and then you also get the credit for the hosting etc. Also make sure you have spiders told not to index any files ending in wmv etc, as they will eat bandwidth every re crawl (google will be the oens who crawl most often) Zip wont save bandwidth due to wmv compression being greater than the equiz avi (though remember apple users need avi not wmv to play) But yeah basically . .ya screwed, as soon as youi host videos, especially new ones then it eats bandwidth. .get used to it Quote

I think thats where the big saving will occur. What we REALLY need is something where we get 10p every time a file is downloaded. It could be split equally between the hosters and the producers..... I'm all for free stuff but sand is causing serious problems for my cameras........... Quote

I tried it with 'nero' and it didnt work. well, not properly anyway! any help would be nice. Quote

I can setup a site where the file link is given to a user and the link is only valid for say 2 hours, the issue is when people may um place the file online without your permission and not charge for it. . also i wouldnt want to place any file online and charge for it unless copyright has been given.
