anna1599968635 Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 right after recovering from my car crash...and no it wasnt my falt..lol ive now been paid off by the insurence co as my car was very kindly written off for me...t$$t any way every cloud has a bezzaier sliver lineing. well im lookin in to geting an HQ Beamer 3.6m and a entry level scrub board....but can any 1 tell me how goods the kite???? is it good for landboarding, ive seen its had good right up but has any 1 flown 1???? plz share your advise....tar Quote
fiend666 Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 Hello, Got a 2.5 and it seems to be a very well behaved kite, havent tried it on the board yet(need more padding:o ) but one of my mates did and found it better than the radsail 3m, the 3.6 should be good for summer and they come at a good price so i would say go for it and enjoy. Spook Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 The Beamer 3.6 is £140 and only comes with handles. Chances of getting a Blade for less than £100, especially with a bar is slim I'm afraid. The bar increases the price by quite a bit. Personally I haven't flown a beamer, but you need to be weary of kites you may get bored with. With a Blade you definitely won't. If your car got written off shouldn't the insurance company be paying for it?? Spook Quote

Right, Spook must be in a friendly mood cos he's just done lots of looking around. Change of kite, get a 2nd hand Bullet 4.5 for £200 or less, and the entry level scrub is £99, or there's also the Kheo Mini-Ripper which is £98 (Spook rides one himself) Total price approx. £299 Sorted! Bullet 4.5 is a lovely kite, was buggying with one today. Beautifully smooth, nice and fast in the turns, and a good bit of power. Also got a nice resale value to them. Spook Quote

Talk to your local shop, then go to Wallop where the traders will be offering 10-12.5% off of their stuff, then go and get friendly with Dan Eaton and he'll give you a nice price that beats the lot Quote
