I have 2 buggies.

If I'm getting the train out to my local spot I use a PL comp because there is nothing lighter and easier to carry. I have been fast in it but it's not very good for fast.

If I have a lift or I'm racing (which requires a lift) I have apretty much custom race buggy. the front end was all built by square metre from their powermax range, with a good lead time before their recent problems. Admittedly I got the parts unpainted because I thought I knew what finish I wanted (it's crap should have got them to powder coat it). The rear axle is a piece of HEAVY steam pipe my Dad had laying around, which he got his man at work to bore and make inserts for and I welded the tabs on to fit the side frames. Currently running with 20mm stub axles (nuts are secured with split pins after I nearly lost a 12mm wheel bolt in a race) instead of the 12mm threaded inserts I started with. On them I have bigfoot lights, but may at some point get some Cadkat rims off Zman and make them into full width bigfoots :) Pro's are that I can hold down plenty of power and it stays fairly stable at high speed, cons are transporting the beast and that I need high power to acheive high speeds on account of the weight, however all race buggies except the PL have this in common :)

There are some fantastic race buggies coming onto the market at the moment - to say any particular one is the mutts nuts would be brave!
