SiCBOY , that picture is pretty funny , youre friend looks like hes just standing around in mid air!

Yup, it was quite windy that day, had to insist on him donning a lid before even unwrapping the 7.8! He seems to pull off some awesome floaty jumps on that kite, this is a guy who broke thumb, 4 ribs and dislocated shoulder during a mishap with a 4m BladeII ! Allways keen to get the big stuff out though

Kiting in some areas of Britain is already banned?! People are very paranoid that one day they'll have nowhere to kite. When really, that’s never going to happen.

*Edit, the reason it's banned in places i think is mainly because of misunderstanding of the sport. People think it's incredibly dangerous (which it is in certain circumstances. fair point) But people do seem to think that wind powered vehicles such as buggies and boards tear up grass and damage land. (Even I thought they did until I had ago, and then realized how silly I was to assume such a thing :))

oh god how wrong were we man !! :(

Tell you what.... I got pulled along once while I was hooked in on my blade.. there wasn't a lot I could do except laugh afterwards that I didn't get launched into the pond in front of me where there was a carp fishing competition going on...

Seriously though, if the wind is like that.. don't hook yourself in and jump, or you may not be able to get out. I'd recommend that when the winds up big time, you only use your harness for resting the arms, and go with your arms and kite killers for the jumps. If its not too windy, but ok for jumping, then the harness will certainly give you a less arm pulling ride.

Not saying that guy on the beach vid was hooked into a harness, but there must be a sensible reason he didn't just let go of his kite when he landed the first time?
