Guy Rogers Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 Looks a good package. You'll have to keep us informed on how you get on with them. I'm still very interested in the BEST gear, so anything positive or negative about the kit would be really helpful, before I decide to spend my cash. Especially interested in how good the control gear & safety set-up functions. Guy Quote

broken bridle Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 Do they come complete with lines? What s the windrange for the 14m ? Quote
Tim186 Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 Did you get charged any import tax customs and excise chages, cause i want to buy a bar off of them and maybe some lines, also how good is the bar compared to others assuming that you have used other bars? Quote
dougz Posted April 8, 2004 Author Report Posted April 8, 2004 It seems to have got through without getting stung for tax etc, all did was sign for the package though had a fun time trying to get it here lol but will do a big post and review when i get back from my trip , the bar is very nice had a couple of kitesurfers round seeing the stuff last night and they were very impressed with the feel of the bar and quality of the kites and the fact that you could easily trim the kites with the straps as the are just about eyelevel which was very nice i like it as much probably as my takoon bar, though the safety on the takoon chicken loop i prefer, if only the takoon chicken loop was a bit bigger. Have a look on the webshots put a couple of close up pics of the QR on the best ckicken loop see the pics of it under Best kites, any more questions feel free to ask Quote
Rake Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 Do they come complete with lines? What s the windrange for the 14m ? I've got the 14 and the range is 12 - 22 knots. Rick from ainsdale had the 14 out in a squall of 30 knots and had some trouble but he got it all toghether and was fine. Released the kite and I picked him up in the car. Rick loved it and said it was good as hell. I saw him jumping it and it was high enough to be comparable to any other LEI. he is 13 stone I am 9 stone. I've had her out in 12 knots and she relaunches in a gnats fart as long as the LE is pressurised properly. the kites dont come with bar and lines but the bar and lines a dirt cheap - 50 notes on top and its sorted.
